How cool!

But curious: wasn’t that a lot of carburetion for a 273, especially using it to tow?

NO they worked quiet well
i owned an engine machine shop also a heenan & froud engine dyno
we built race motors for cars all over Australia
of course todays motors would make the old motors from back then look pretty weak lol
i dont know if anyone would be interested but i have some pics of our shop catalogue pages with prices from back in 60,s you would giggle about the prices

73 years old, will be 74 in 45 days. The younger guys (18 to 22) in the Mustangs club say things like “Wow! What a waste an old guy like you owning a car like that“ and “Let me drive it and I”ll show you what the car can do!” My first thought is to say F U! But then I think, wait! when I was their age I thought the same thing! It’s just the cycle of life! My cars give me much happiness and I really enjoy them. I look forward to getting up every day and doing something with them, driving or detailing! I enjoy both.

Of course you could've told those "young folks" that you'd take them for a spin and show them just how YOU can drive that car. Although with some of us, we'd have to put some towels or something under those young 'uns because they could excrete some stuff when we take them for a spin. They seem to "assume" that us old folks can't drive a lick; boy, they've got a surprise coming!

Liking those old cars fellas!

One thing is certain; you just can't beat the exhaust sound of the old pushrod engines. They just had a certain note and rumble to them that you don't quite get with these DOHC engines. I mean the Coyote sounds great even with the stock exhaust, but it's a different kind of sound I can't quite describe.

Pic was taken at my buddies house up in Springfield Va. that is his neighbors C3 corvette. I’m the 10 years he has lived there I have never seen it uncovered or moved from that spot. It does look like they aired up the tires though!!
