I'm surprised more people aren't excited about this. I hope someone can find the part number and the replacements are designed this way. I had the 6 pot Brembos and went back to the 4s because I couldn't find a winter tire setup that wasn't really expensive.
I'm stoked. Time to find them.

wait you mean no one wants turbofan wheels to solve the inverted rotor?

Does anyone know if the redesigned rotors can be used on the 15-19 cars? Also, does anyone have any idea if this new design functions better in the real world?

It's a different part number
2021 front rotor left -
GR3Z-2C026-C
2017 front rotor left -
KR3Z-1125-H
Hub is 1104-a for 17 and -g for 21

Sure would like to know if these fit. Lots cheaper than rings

Looks like you have the “inverted” design rotor- pre ‘21.

If these are bolt on, it’s a whole lot cheaper than the only 2 piece rotor I can find that fixes the inverted cooling rotor on the base 4 pot brakes.

Yes, 20-21 as well. This isn't the 'new' design really, it's the 'old' design that has been used since vented disc brakes were invented. The Mustang 'inverted' design is someone trying to justify their job, doing something 'tricky' and it, predictably, didn't work for shit. They (I say 'they' because this decision would only be made by a non-binary, man-bun and Daisy-duke wearing nincompoop and I want to be inclusive) probably got some big promotion for it. The dude who did the styling of the Pontiac Aztek ended up running the whole department, so there's no telling where this gem of an engineer landed.

Has this been confirmed that all 21+ GT's running the 4 piston setup have 'normal' rotor venting?

Anyone able to track this with appropriate pads and see if it resists fading significantly more than the older reverse design?

I don't have to test it. For sure, 100% it will decrease brake fade by a ton. With decent pads and some ducting, the bigger brakes might provide a small advantage, but it's going to be minor difference now that the 14" brakes have reasonable cooling.

Has anyone confirmed part numbers, I try searching online and get a headache lol

I come up with KR3Z-1125-J, is there a way to confirm without 'buying and trying'?

My ‘22 has the vanes on the backside of the front rotors and the frontside of the rear rotors. The fronts look like they still have a pretty substantial shield on the back though preventing the vanes from doing their job.
