has gone up from 9.99 per gallon to $16.00 per gallon!! I refuse to pay that. I was blending 2 gallons of VP101 with 2 gallons of E85 (true E85) to get me to just under 94 octane and E19 ethanol content. This got me to just under 94 octane. So now I am contemplating using VP Octanium or something of that ilk. Not in lots of quantities just to get me to the 93/94 octane.

I remember when I had my E92 M3, I didn't like to use this stuff as it turned your plugs orange and since the plugs in the S65 engine was also part of the anti-knock system I didn't want to use it.

Car setup is in my signature.

I switched to e85 to get away from race fuel for the same reason. $160 for a 5 gallon pail of Sunoco 260GT or $25 for the same amount of E85.

I have used VP Octanium with good results on my car. I haven't used Boostane, but many have with similar results. I'm sure either will work well for you.

Running the Ford Racing Power kit...full E85 out of the question. I do blend a couple of gallons of the stuff, but can't run it fully. I only want to get the car to 93/94 octane. Good news is VP Octanium is available at the local Auto parts store. I only need to blend in 4 oz. to get to 93 octane, the couple gallons of E85 will get me to 94+.

Boostane Professional. Use 8-12oz per tank. It works.

I'd use 3 gallons of E85 will be about E24 and 93.6 octane.
Or 3.5 gallons of E is E26 and 94 octane.

The car should be just fine up to E30 with stock injectors.

For safety I'd log fuel trims.

I had a front passenger side 02 go out, do you think it was from running E25 fuel? Hard to believe an 02 would go out with just 20k miles.

Nope. They have a 100K+ service life even at 85%.
