Picked up the car from GT101 after having all the wheels removed and repainted and for only £72 plus vat per wheel
They did mine too, would highly recommend this to anyone. Feel and look better than new, top quality job.

jet washed it. Got possibly 50metres away from the station and bird shit hit the windscreen. Un fcking believable! Cleaned that up, noticed I'd missed a bit on the roof when washing it. Sigh

Well not entirely today, but put on some slightly lowered Eibach Pro Kit springs from Nemesis UK (not the greatest before and after pics but should be dropped about an inch), decided to paint the calipers red and also cleaned up the brake hubs with a fresh coat of hammerite silver rattle can.

Calipers look great, what did you paint them with? My rears with 12k miles were looking shoddy and I had some black caliper paint so tidied them up, fronts don’t look amazing, like the idea of red though

Thank you, I just used a kit from E-Tech (can be found cheaper than that amazon link) , came with brake cleaner, wire brush, paintbrush and the paint. I did buy a few more 1/2 inch paint brushes as they get a bit dried up and also some smaller brushes for smaller areas.

yesterday got new front discs and pads fitted, brake pedal feels a good bit stronger (both inner pads on old set were stuck fast in the caliper so only had outside pad braking... Those pad pins are a git to get out, anyone buy the hardware kit in the UK or best hitting rockauto for them (for future pad swaps)?

Is it the pin that has no threads for screwing in, but which you have to hammer in and out you are talking about? I use a screw that fits through the hole to hammer it out, and use the head of the same screw on the other side of the bolt to hammer the bolt back in.

Same for the "banjo" bolt. The head of a screw that's small enough to go through the hole, but not so small that it will go into the banjo bolt and rip up the threads.

yes, we got them out eventually in several bits but my replacements hadn't turned up so we er borrowed someone elses and they will get mine when they arrive. I'm sure i have an old pin remover from my Opel Manta days, i must look for that.

basically this stuff, where do folks this side of the pond get it without having to wait weeks for it?

Finally got a Royal Mail tracking number :handsinair:

I did my first oil change today, usually I get the garage to do it when it goes in for its MOT. I thought the S550 V8 took 8 quarts (7.6L), I just took 9L out of mine ?
