I spoke to the general manager of my local dealer today regarding this possible 2022 GT500 allocation change and he called their rep, this was his reply.
“I did speak to my rep and he says as far as he knows right now there's nothing like that happening doesn't mean that it could happen you know in the near future or in the future but right now he's not aware of anything so that's all.”

i'm not clear what you're asking. but quite a few people have gotten their VINs and build weeks scheduled. i've got my VIN and build week is 4/18.

This thread started with someone stating that 2022 GT500's would not be based off of allocations but rather an approval/denial on fords part. My dealer told me that is not true and im asking if anyone else has been told otherwise from their dealer.

My GM said last week his dealership is still waiting to get their allocations assigned. No mention of what this thread is titled. On that note I’m obviously still waiting for my order to be accepted/approved/allocated by Ford.

They are still doing allocations. You could have submitted an order and if it's not allocated it won't be built. The process for distributing those allocations and the amount of them could have changed, I'm not sure. I just know the dealer I ordered from was given an allocation and I changed their stock order to my specs and it became a retail order.
