I was looking at my rotors on my 2021 GT Base and noticed Ford appears to have fixed the rotor venting design? My vents are on the inside of the rotor like any traditional vented rotor?

Any one tracking this configuration and getting any appreciable life out of them with proper pads, fluid and venting of air?

Build date 11/21 non-pp GT premium front brake rotors. I could mistaken but the issue was no air ventilation on the inside of the rotor? There is a slot. Not sure if thats enough for hard track breaking. I wouldnā€™t know

Right mines a late 21 build and has vents on the inside. I hadnā€™t seen this mentioned anywhere?

That looks just like my Brembo / PP1 disk :

Yes very similar. PP rotors are slightly larger and definitely heavier. Upgraded mine a few weeks ago. Iā€™ll buy your right side splash shield at double the going rate! šŸ˜‚

oh good maybe i'll have an easier time selling my 4 pots now. Assuming the new ones are direct replacement for old style ones? Got a P/n for new rotors? I'm a little surprised there isn't a QR code on them.

I'm surprised more people aren't excited about this. I hope someone can find the part number and the replacements are designed this way. I had the 6 pot Brembos and went back to the 4s because I couldn't find a winter tire setup that wasn't really expensive.

I'll be happy to sell my 4p front rotors but shipping will be pricey. Was gonna put the calibers and rotors up for sale when I got around to it. I didnt think there was much interest in those but I guess there would be if people needed to replace their poorly designed rotors.

Does your non-PP have the air channels in the belly pan and deflectors on the control arms?

If no, then even with a rear vented design you won't get that much cooling and you'll still overheat them on track.

Although it's easy to add the PP belly pan and Vorshlang sells some beefy deflectors that can be added to the stock control arms.

Yup.. still has the stock pan from factory, but just picked up some plastic rivets from harbor freight so I can install my spare PP2 splitter along with the vorshlag air deflectors.
