I’m looking at a few GT350s without the CF instrument panel. Anyone ever installed the factory CF on a non-CF dash? How Difficult? Is it worth just finding a vehicle with CF IP?

I installed an OEM carbon fiber dash from a 2019 GT350 into my 2018 GT. Very easy and I was very lucky as one of my friends didn’t want it in his 350 and put a paint matched OEM dash in, instead

I bought from ebay after searching this forum and somebody recommended HR Performance. https://www.ebay.com/itm/185093041496?hash=item2b1867ad58:g:pQUAAOSw3xJfh29a

Price is all in which is good because I wanted to keep my original parts. I asked him if he could do matte which he was able to. No regrets. I think it came out pretty good. In some lights it looks a little golden that doesn't show from the pics.

Easy install, just watch some youtube videos and you will be fine.

These are all I have for pics - it’s a car on fiber piece with the abs plastic glued to the backside…it’s two pieces….

That looks like the back of a factory piece with carbon bonded to it. When you swap can you weigh the factory piece and this carbon piece. That will for sure tell you.

Quality is good enough. Weaves are even. They are not perfect. Then again the carbon fiber weave in my $110K E63S wasn't perfect either.
I had a 500 where the weave was perfectly spaced but it had some imperfections in the shape around the gauge cluster. Bothered the hell out of me.

That matte finish looks great. Fits the interior much more than the shiny option, IMO.

My GT500 came with the interior CF which I removed and sold. The fit and finish of the OEM pieces were pretty damn good. The Trufiber forge-look ones I installed weren’t quite as good but they are satisfactory.
As far as removal and installation, it’s easier than changing a tire.

I went to the Trufiber website. I didn’t see the “forge-look” ones you mentioned. Can you give a link please?

Well, that’s different.
Yeah, forged carbon fiber seems to be a thing. It looks like unfinished fiberglass or the equivalent of carbon fiber particleboard to me, but I guess with marketing you can make anything cool.
