Here is what I think I am going with:

GT Premium Fastback v8
Auto
Mischievous purple
Black Accent
Perf Exhaust
3.55 rear end
spare tire

debating:

401A vs doing 400A w/ Safe/Smart added
regular sound vs BO

Probably order tomorrow, so need to decide :-)

I’d say get a base GT with a stick shift, then spend all the money you saved on a blower.

I would like to but I know that would get me/kid in trouble.

I hate to break it to you, but a stock GT will too…

I recommend the Ecoboost and maybe Ford tune.

You can get a loaded one. Has enough power to get in trouble. Lots room under hood for venting and working on it.

Will not miss the V8 unless need the sound and bragging rights haha.
That’s like saying no need for Nicole Aniston, I much prefer this frigid woman from the 1400s. She’s got lots of long dresses, you won’t miss the way Nicole makes your toes curl, unless that kind of thing is important to you…

Get what you want, but I'd get the 401a, the heated and cooled seats are nice, the extra gear is a plus now, and if you ever go to sell it. It already has the safe/smart stuff .
I'd also get the b/o audio. And here is why.
you get the nav, you get the extra speakers, you get a c/d player, and it is harder today to add it after you find the base isn't good enough.
I have not seen one, but I'd think(someone correct me if I'm wrong) the base 6 speaker set up, will not have the door panels that the b/o has to allow for the 3 way front speakers ,etc.
I like my music. I didn't want to have to spend 3k after buying the car to install more gear and hope the shop knew what they are doing, The days of just swapping head units running a few rca's and adding an amp are long gone.
In the end get it the way you want it. only you know what is important to you, and what isn't.
I could live without all the safe and smart stuff, but the car had it, but I wanted the cooled seats. My drycleaner thanks me, The retailer that I buy my shirts from, isn't as happy as shirts last longer before they fade/yellow. Getting out of the car after a long drive and not sticking to the seat is heaven.

Get what you want. It's easy to just say get everything (401A, B&O, PP1 with magneride, etc.) but there's nothing wrong with sticking to a budget and focusing on what's most important to you.

Yup. But it is also sucks to be stuck with a vehicle for years that after the fact you wish you got it with x option.

If you are considering a spare tire kit and want to save some money, here is something to look at:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/174181676086

I purchased one of these when I had my 2015 Mustang GT, and it worked out well. I am likely to purchase it again for my 2022 GT order.

IMO the Purple might as well be black except in strong sunlight. stock rims are pretty shitty so take that same $1000 for the 'black accent' group and spend it on actually good wheels - 19x9.5 or 10 wide. For the rest, buy some Plasti-Dip.
