It’s a social economic thing
Mustang are cheap and have a macho image and therefore attract a special type of customers …not the PhD’s or CFO’s crowd
definitively a blue collar car save for a very few
Frankly the only reason I own a Mustang is because mine is 100% a track car

LMAO as if the PhD’s or CFO’s crowd, are not as worthless & low class.

I will say only the ignorant self-absorbed goof would think that.

A legend is one's own mind, are you? it takes all kinds....

Yeah, I hear you. Drove me nuts when I first bought this car... I can easily get away from tailgaters, but those people who are trying to get you to race ... I just completely ignore them like they aren't even there. I think that bugs them more than anything. Where I live, it is not worth risking any sort of race on the street ... they will take your car, suspend your license, fine you up to $10K and that doesn't even touch the insurance implications that will follow for years.

You all must make a lot more than I do bc I don’t consider a gt mustang cheap lol I mean maybe bc mines a premium but still, it was like 50k after everything. That ain’t cheap. Also, Camaros cost the same but where’s the stigma of them?
lol I know mine was around the same. I also don’t consider it cheap, it’s the nicest car I’ve owned then again I was previously driving a 15 year old car so a new car was definitely a luxury. I try to appreciate everything I have

Id say Camaros have much the same stigma. Thing is I could get a luxury nameplate for what a GT costs. For a optioned out one you can even get one with okay power. Heck im moving from a MB. Mustangs have come a long way in interior quality though. Just go look a couple generations back. I can’t say its as ‘prestigious’ though. Decide if you are buying a car for yourself or other people and pay your money I guess.

Camaro owners don't care about the stigma because they're too busy going on dates with their sisters. Hard to care about vehicle image when the family tree needs to be as straight as possible. Priorities 🤔

I was not bringing a value judgment on the different social economic classes
Just a fact that your income, social economic status and education have a direct impact on what you drive… do you really think that the vast majority of Silicon Valley employees drive lifted trucks????,
Btw, I Always had, raced and loved Mustang, here a couple of examples:
And obviously you have assholes and great people in every social economic class

I never had a problem when I had my Mustangs. I did have a tailgater problem when I had a Mini Cooper S and a BMW 135i. It seemed like everybody wanted to ride my ass all the time.

Hi all new member and 30 year truck driver have experienced all kinds crazy stuff . Tailgating and distracted driving is a big problem all over. I prefer pickup trucks for daily driving had a Ford Fusion and the trucks and SUV's will run you over. I just sold 2014 Mustang V6 and bought 2017 GT and now the boy down street rev's his cackling Red Camaro whenever he drives by . wow I'm really impressed
