Yea it’s all about having fun and learning how the car reactions to different race situations, I used to get all worked up about running a number, then not getting there… just have fun and be safe.
Absolutely! I might go ahead and give the e brake trick a try to get a few more stall RPM out of it... who knows it might help. If I can improve the 60' at all there is a good chance it will run an 11.

Do you happen to have any pictures of those M/T tires on the car ? Just wondering how the 26” tires look
Thanks.

Hopefully these give you a better idea. They're not the most aesthetically pleasing thing ever, but the function well. I also think since the wheel is black it helps the tire look less goofy. I'll try to get some better pictures this weekend.

Some lowering springs would get rid of some of the gap…. Honestly doesn’t look that bad too.

Probably so, I may go that route eventually, but hopefully it makes enough power before too long that I can bump up to the 305-45-17 tires and not have to worry about that haha.

I’m kinda in the same situation as u you with the 3.15 gears and tire options
26” or 28”.. thought about swapping out the 3.15 gears for 3.55 diff. , but I’m still on the fence about that , especially if I plan on doing a whipple blower.

I will likely use these tires until they are worn out, and decide at that point. I think these tires will be fine for most N/A usage as I've seen people using them well into the 10s. I'm not in any danger of going that fast any time soon, haha. They definitely feel better than the 28" tire on a stock car. I attached a video from my youtube channel, it was a short acceleration from 40-110 or so with the shorter tires on it. Also had some interior removed, that's why it sounds loud.

I run 26" tall bias ply tires in the back and with my 3.55 gear it would be a perfect setup if I was tuned. For some reason, the stock tune keeps shifting into 7th at the top of the track around 6500 rpm in 6th. Redline is 7400 so not sure if that is part of the tune to help protect the trans or what but I'm sure it's costing me a bit. Other than that, I love the 26" rears - have cut 1.79s in the 60' with 2000 rpm launch. Same wheels/tires on my prior car (2006 GT) allowed for a beat of a 1.68 60' so they have more left in them until I need 28" tall tires. I'm seen a lot of mild bold-on N/A cars run slower on the 28" tires. They are more for hard core N/A or any FI applications.

Yea. The more I research , looks like a 26 inch tire works better with the 3.15 gear mustangs. Might look a little funny but I’m planning on doing some lowering springs , should help a little.

This weekends results... Didn't expect anything different, it did what it should have to so that's a win in my opinion. Left all the interior in it, ran 12.12 @ 117 in about 1000ft DA. It was a slow day at the track so I got to make eight passes. Also cut a personal best reaction time!

Man 001. Light 👍…. Great your getting some seat time too. Just need to somehow get that 60ft down, and there’s your 11 second pass. What mode do you have the transmission in for your runs.

My car is a complete base model with the small radio, the only option I have is putting it into "S" mode on the shifter.

thats a damn good run considering your mods which size DRs are you using? also do you have the vertical links along with the lock outs? and thanks for the honesty telling us the negative DA

Try just stomping it off idle. It hits the tires harder than stalling it up on footbrake. I consistently went 1.62 - 1.65 (on all my N/A combos prior to cams).
