Hmmm, mine is showing otherwise.
Do you track your car by any chance?
Lol I mean if you did absolutely nothing, I.e drove the car 0 miles in a 1 year period, it would still say it's time for an oil change

...fwiw...on my Challenger 6.2 Hemi.......

Dodge demands you change oil EVERY 6 mos or 5000 mi.
...failure to do so could and will void warranty.
A matter of fact, I received a notification to change mine a week
after I sold the car. That would be 6 months to the day............................:whew:

Should the oil ALWAYS be full synthetic? My dealer includes a 2 year free oil changes and my first oil change was today at 1,550 miles, (but has been 6 months. The service advisor told me 5000 miles or 6 months).
The dealer use this type Motocraft oil part # XO-5W20-BSP. Is this synthetic blend? My oil cap says 5w20.
2020 GT, MT82, non PP and I don’t track use. I’m in the Midwest region.

The Costco version is cheaper (and fresher due to high sales volume). Just say'n.

Interestingly my cap was packed in 2020 - Either Ford knew this change was coming and were getting stocks set up for it, or it's a shared part with other models.

I have never seen an engine blow up due to having oil in it.
0-20,5-50, or hell even 10-60 all will work just fine.

I wouldn't do 10 mile or less jaunts with the 10-60 but if you regularly drive 50 miles or more at a time it is just fine.

Remember the oil is thickest when cold so if it will flow cold it will flow hot.

I forget which engine builder said this but it is true ""use the thinnest oil you can stand the noise of""
