and for anyone saying you won't notice 30+ hp, just talk to the 2022 Mach 1 guys, they don't even have their cars yet and can already feel the difference of 10 hp LOL.... I kid, I kid.

OP (and others): I'm curious, do you have the rain tray in or out?
I know I am using the naked Kong CAI, but out 100% of the time. I drove in the rain almost every day while in MB, and there was almost zero water getting under my hood (and I have additional hood vents). Once it even sat in a torrential downpour for 2 hours, and only a tiny bit of water got under the hood. I think anyone using a pre-filter will be more than safe not using a rain tray. I also think no pre-filter is pretty safe too.

Oh, I don’t even use the hood vent when washing the car anymore, even with a foam canon & pressure washer. Seriously, I was kinda careful with the wand, and minimal water made it in. To the point, not enough to bother installing the rain tray.

Results may vary…….

I went through three days of heavy rains with my tray out and noticed very little standing water in the engine bay. The filter was completely dry and I don’t see any water spots on the SC cover.

Lots of interesting things going around in this thread. Hmm...

Are they really out of stock everywhere? I can wait since I have some other things planned, but damn that sounds good. How is the seal with the hood? I've never had an open top CAI before so I was sorta waiting for a closed box system, just beefier than stock and not over 1k because carbon fiber.

the fit is perfect, the hood essentially closes right up on it when closed, creating a somewhat closed air box, just way bigger. theyre out of stock in a lot of places, but not everywhere. got mine from american muscle.

I must be hard or hearing because I only noticed a little increase in SC whine with the JLT compared to stock. Nothing like a Hellcat.

Interesting thread being I went down this path and even have a video of mine. I had to sell my GT500 this summer and then lucked out and got it back. The owner that purchased mine took it out and put it back stock.
