I'm currently in the market for a new exhaust set up. My current set up includes stock manifolds (catless) with the Mak mid pipes but the rest is stock (stock resonator/muffler).

I am currently running the car without resonator/muffler and just have dumps but it's too loud for my liking.

I am currently pushing about 900rwhp, if that helps in any suggestions. I am looking for a set up that isn't loud or obnoxious at cruise (1500-2500rpm) but that wakes up at open throttle.

I was thinking of going with something with active exhaust but was told the amount of pressure/heat my car makes will blow those out so I'm in need of some advice.

Should I get active exhaust or cut outs instead? Resonator or resonator delete? Muffler or no muffler? Any suggestion or clips of exhaust set up will help.

Adding in a catback won't really hurt performance. As far as which one to go with or what setup it really comes down to what you like the sound of most. All manufactures are going to have a loud setup along with a toned down less wild version. Some have H pipes and some have X. H is going to give you a deeper old school tone where the X is going to give you more rasp.

Hit me up and we can get you dialed in for sure with whichever setup you like the most!

Feel Free to DM me or call with any questions.

You will not blow out your exhaust. We sell pretty much any brand exhaust that is offered for these cars here at www.lethalperformance.com. I personally like the AWE, Corsa, Borla exhausts. Please feel free to give us a call and we can assist with picking out a catback for your car! 1.877.253.8425

Well then you wouldn't want a Corsa Extreme. :) I've heard it combined with Mac cat delete and it's stupid loud. Something like the Borla Touring sounds like what you want.

with headers, one of the touring systems / corsa sport would be better

I have this setup, the Corsa sports with headers. It's doable around town (got some volume still though, no doubt about that), although still pretty damn loud at WOT and high RPMs.

If you are making 900whp on stock manifolds you have a kickass setup and you are not the sharpest tool in the shed. You should get stainless steel eBay headers because they make just as much horsepower as name brands then a touring catback

I am actually in this exact same boat. I have a boosted 16 with mak cat deletes and corsa touring cat back. At idle or cruising it is not loud but does have a nice tone/ volume but it is loud at WOT just like the other member described. I was actually looking to go to something with an active exhaust like you stated. What I found was the xforce varex catback and debating on getting it, but don’t see as much feed back on it as all the rest. It does state that when you have the valves closed do not got wot, make sure to go wot with the valves open and that’s it which makes sense. I have no complaints but the adjustability would be nice… quiet when you want and wild and you want. Which is what I am looking for personally
