They were selling off the Raptors when were there. If I remember correctly they actually were bringing all the money to. I’d be interested in one. I’ll call on Monday and inquire. They may have a list going.

Yes, I recall some of those Raptor conversations. Let me (us) know what you find! I’d throw my name on a list.

I recall when the boss 302 program was over, they kept some for second day cars for the 350 track attack. The rest were sold off.

The mckeivers own these cars. Many think that they belong to Ford, but they are privately owned.

I am certain they will be sold off, but it is a question of when.

The conditions at Tooele are not harsh. If i bought one, I would plan on an engine refresh. Honeybadfer would be the resource on how much that costs, but i seem to recall that is about a 7 to 10K proposition, depending on what you want done.

I'd be very curious to know some stats on the cars; mileage, years, and if they are on their original engines or not.

I’m curious why anyone would want one of those cars.
I know for a fact some had issues because my #11 lost oil pressure with just a couple laps to go at the end of the day. I could not find out what the outcome was for that car.
I look at this like buying a rental car. You know they were beat on.

Agreed that these cars were driven very hard but purchasing one of these Pre-Production cars at the right price would be pretty cool in my opinion.

Obviously these vehicles were serviced on a regular basis by either a local Ford dealership for the big stuff and on site track maintenance personnel for the smaller stuff.

No question that a lot of patina would come with one of these vehicles and hopefully FP would still have some documentation that could be supplied for any given vehicle purchased.

Easy to get an Oasis Report for any of these vehicles which should show any warranty work done by a Ford dealership and also easy to check out to see if the engine and/or tranny are original to each car.

I get where you are coming from but I also like the idea of owning a Pre-Production GT350 that had some interesting history, but as you suggested buyer beware. :giggle:

To your point known they were beat on, if the price is right, would make a good track car/donor car for a track build

Your reasoning is the only practical one I could think of. Then again practicality is very subjective 😊
Are they pre production? I thought my #11 is a ‘17 IIRC.

Most of these cars are regular production 2016 Track Package cars. I've been to
more than one of the GT350 Track Attack programs.
