He has some history with Ford. Also keep in mind Roush does a lot of research work for manufactures other than Ford. Business and loyalty don't seem to go hand in hand anymore.

I like the car and if the paint job is as it says in the video I could see where that adds about 20 grand to the price. But paying that price and not getting the Nav screen is ridiculous.

A Petty Garage King Ford Fusion would make sense.

Off topic I know, but these are a few pics I took of a GT350 tribute that was also at the show. The owner also displayed a book showing the restoration from reclamation (probably from a junk yard) to finished product. He is very clear that it’s is not a GT350. It caught my attention because when it pulled in I thought it was a GT350H. I’ve always loved the GT350H so I had to check it out. When I got to it the stripe read GT350, but not H and I’m pretty sure the green / gold combo was only on the GT350H. He explains his intent in his book. He expects anyone who knows GT350 would catch his intentional error. Plus he states it is a tribute and not a true GT350 on page one.

Of the 999 production 66' GT350H's made most were black but there were exceptions. This is one of them.

I like the looks of it but performance wise it's MUCH cheaper to just buy the Ford Performance catalogue and have it put on or put it on yourself, and paint your plastic lip/side piece whatever color you want yourself. If I remember that's mostly just what it is, FP parts with their custom looks and wheel package. No place near worth the price they charge.

Which REALLY pisses me off as they use most the PR to be like "look we give a military discount and support troops" but they are STILL raping you on the military price vs just getting a ROUSH or buying the GT you want and having the FP parts put on yourself. I mostly just see this car as a con-job.

Do you really need nav to stay out of the walls and find pit lane???

@shogun32 I think someone at Petty’s Garage was reading your thread with your Mach 1 stripe designs…. 😄
hey now, that EXACT livery shows up in Woodbridge VA c&c on a regular basis. I saw if over a month ago and took photos. Didn't I post them?

If my design ethos is endorsed by Petty, I consider that a compliment.

I nearly bought a yellow 15 Petty. Nice package. Liked my 18 Roush much better but their both nice aftermarket packages.

They has one with the Petty display on the 2016 Hot Rod Power Tour. Pretty cool piece.

I went to a car show at a cider mill near Lansing , Michigan today. Saw more than a few really cool Stangs, including a couple GT350s, a 1978 King Cobra, and a 1966 GT350 tribute. Ironically, the most interesting Mustang there was parked directly across from me. It was number 22 of 43 Petty Garage King Editions. When I first saw it, I thought it was a Roush with a really cool paint job. Glad I went over to check it out.

I’m kinda with you. When these first came out. I seen it as nothing more than a money grab. It’s not like Mustang has any real direct link to petty. These things were between 80-100 grand new. It will be interesting to see what the collector market is for these in 30 years. I’m betting these won’t hold up.

People barely know what they are now, its only the colors that make them stand out.
