I just got my draggy and decided to do a run real quick and see how it does. I'm not sure if its an ok run or not but the car caught me off guard a bit. When I floored it I went from about 40mph when it went into the next gear it spun bad and pointed the car slightly to the left I stayed in it either way and it straightened out and continued. I had it in drag mode when I did the run as well. My car has PBD E85 Tune, JLT Intake, AWE Catback. My car is full weight and its a convertible.

Have you put it on a dyno? I do not know much about Mustangs to be 100% honest so I am not sure what yours should be getting. My Alfa Quadrifoglio is in the high 7s and I would think it should be somewhere around the HP you are pushing with Ethanol.

Going to take the Mustang out tonight and hopefully get some numbers on it but its got the twin turbo hellion kit on it.

7's is fast for sure. Post up the mustangs when your done. I havent yet put it on the dyno, probably most it will make is 430-435whp on a dynojet.

Seems slow to me, but thats not surprising since you were spinning, I would throw out any dragging runs that you spin bad on, if I was at the track and I spun I wouldn't care to much what the slip says since it was a botched run. Re run it without spinning and see what it runs

I think next time i just need to warm up the tires, I drove on them for about 10 minutes but normal driving before flooring it. Its hard to find a good spot to get the run in. Usually I have to just floor it when I have a good open highway and that's rare in southern california.

A stock A10 GT is ~11 seconds 60-130. So, at 2575' DA and 10.4 sec, I think you're about right with the E85 tune and intake. I'm guessing most of the tire spin occurred below 60 mph, right? If so, spinning below 60 mph wouldn't affect your 60-130 mph time.

I floored it at about 40mph not sure what mph it went into the next gear as soon as it went into the next gear it spun. I watched a couple of vids seen some run 11's. I think with a better DA and no spin maybe i can shave off a couple of tenths. I'll try again when the tires are warmer but the DA especially were i live might be difficult to get down.

"DA still up there". HA. I love when DA here drops below 3000'. Right now, even in the morning, it's 4674'. It will be 6500' by the end of the day. Sigh. I live at 2700'.

That said, you were actually faster 60-110 in the original run, and your 60-70 run were within 1 hundredth of a second, so I don't think the traction was much of a factor. The original run was quicker 60-110, but slower 110-130 mph. I think that is likely explained by the car being in drag mode, and the difference drag mode makes was enough to make up for a slight wind difference between the two runs. At high speeds the wind resistance was too high and there's less shifts, so the drag mode couldn't make up the difference.

wow 4600+ DA lol. Well i appreciate the advice and input. I think I'm fairly happy with that. I'm gonna lay off the 60-130's for now I doubt there is much more to improve. As long as its faster then a stock one I'm ok with that. One of these days when the track opens up ill take it there and see what it can run. I'm gonna have it dynoed in the next couple of weeks see what it does. My guess maybe 430-440whp. Will see what happens.
