I have some favorites near me here in VA.

Not up and down, or high speed; they're flat and narrow. But plenty of tight turns. It's a fun match-rev downshift, hit the apex, zoom off to the next one kinda area. Lots of farm fields and right angle turns.

Narrow roads, so I go early spring/late fall. That way crops don't interfere with me being able to see any (rare) oncoming traffic.

Nowhere for the constabulary to sit, unless they like ditches.

This article on Autoblog started me thinking. What are the best driving roads for a Mustang in your state (not just scenic, but curvy)?

I do not know many in Michigan but one of the best is M-119 from Harbor Springs to Cross Village, although it is more scenic than sporty/curvy.

Just drove up to Sandia Peak yesterday and had a blast...until I got behind a mini suv, for a short time. The climb is from about 5500 feet to 10,500 feet, with lots of tight turns!
Also, down south near the Gila, driving thru the black range is fun.

Hogel Zoo in SLC, up Emigration Canyon Road, left onto Utah Highway 65 down to I-80 West back into SLC.

My HPP with the handling package and the six speed was tailor made for the twisties.
Agreed, the HPP/HP is one carving machine! I just replaced the stock Pirellis with Michelin PS4S.. WOW! This is the tire this car should have come with.

I like the Corsas that came with the HPP/HP. (They are my first summer tires so I don't have anything to compare them to). But I need some all seasons for northern Utah winters and are looking at Michelin AS3+ getting them 275 wide instead of 265 wide. Another HPP/HP owner here on the board did that and this fall that is my plan.

Here are few pics I took today. I made a point to stop at some of the scenic over looks. I usually don’t stop, because I see it all the time.

Nice — the fam and I were right down the road in Grafenwoehr. Miss that place, and the roads!
I was in Graf 97-00, my son in law is now there and my daughter is heading over soon - she was born in Wieden.

North West New Jersey: Green Pond Road connects Rte 80 to 23 in Sussex. It's a cheap unexpected thrill. Lots of food on either end. If your in the area it's a fun jaunt. It's got a few dips and twists and the speed limit is decent. That whole part of the state has hidden gems to prowl. It's no Tail of the Dragon though. More like tail of the Lizard.

When I lived in Mendham I used to drive through the Jockey Hollow area every day. Hardscrabble Road and Jockey Hollow Road were always fun windy backroads to take on my drive home. I once chased a R35 GTR down both roads (they connect) which was a fun time.

Morris and Hunterdon county seem to have a lot of fun back roads, I'd often take the M5 or Mustang and just go get lost for a while on purpose to see what was out there.

Old McKenzie Highway in Oregon (Hwy 242) is a blast if you hit it right. Tons of switchbacks. A lot of slow tourist traffic, but if you catch a break from that, it is spectacular fun. Pictures are from a couple of years ago.

Quite a few states have a few good roads but nothing can compare to California for the sheer numbers and varieties
From desert to Montains to coast to everything in between
Angeles crests, 33, 58, 1, Rossi’s
Driveway, Caliente-Bodfish, Airline Highway, 4, 88, Monitor Pass, 120, 36, 3, Cecile-calahan, 299, Forks of the salmon, and literally hundreds more……
There is a website run by a motorcyclist friend of mine ( he put together tours) that list and describe a huge numbers
https://www.pashnit.com/
Go look at it, what he does is simply amazing

Funny - first 10 years of my live I lived only 40km away from there.

Irt best driving roads: any as I´m living in Bavaria. And: any - as I enjoy every meter in the Mustang... once I can get it from my wife

...anyone here from Virginia??

I have ridden US221 in and out of Roanoke, VA on a Harley several
times but never driven the Mustang.

Wonder how fast you have been up the mountain (Bent) in
your car heading South?
Wifey doesn't like me to go too fast, but it is hard not to do on a Harley.
I wanted to come that way when I went and picked up the new Mustang. She
didn't want to drive in traffic, so we drove the Blue Ridge Pkwy back.
