Illinois sucks for many reasons. Shitty straight roads is just 1 :(.
There are a few nice areas however. Cruising on Original Route 66 in some of the suburban areas is nice but in pockets. Also traveling towards Iowa from Illinois on I-80 is pretty scenic and nice roads.

Blue Ridge Parkway, Tail of Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, etc.

Pretty much anywhere on the west side of NC has great roads for spirited driving. Love the Great Smokies.

In Texas it's the "Twisted Sisters" near Leakey in the Texas Hill Country. Not close to where I live but worth it at least once a year. Here is some dashcam vid from February's trip. It looks nicer when sunny but we had poor weather. Still a lot of fun, though.

Other than mine this is 1st mustang ive seen w/grey stripes... Are they factory?

They are not factory. I got them from Big Worm Graphix. They are actually silver but can look gray or even blueish in cell phone pics in certain lighting conditions.

It's been many years, but there are some nice roads winding around the Kankakee river.

102 and 113 are nice! Just a bit short unfortunately. In the fall it can be real beautiful.

Upstate New York is pretty good. Lots of mountains and twisties. Lately I’ve been spending a lot of time Marlboro NY. Lots of vineyards. It’s like a different world … so beautiful and so exspensive to live there

Plenty of scenic, twisty roads in southern Vermont, but between locals driving 10 under, tourists terrified of driving in the mountains, deer and other animals, and heavy speed enforcement, it can be difficult to enjoy them.

Rt2 Mohawk Trail in western MA is nice as is the Kancamagus Highway in NH through the White Mountains ....I'll be following this thread and looking for some pointers....I'm leaving the Boston area in 2 weeks for Wauseon Ohio via Rt 6 through PA and then on to the Black Hills SD, after that who knows...

We have all sorts of great roads here in Western WA. I used to tear them up when I rode a motorcycle (25K Miles a year). We have everything from secluded straights to autocross twisties. The run up to Paradise on Mt. Rainer is fun, so is the road up to Hurricane Ridge at Mt. St. Helens. Both of these mountains are active volcanoes (when Rainier pops it is going to be spectacular). The 101 that loops around the Olympic Peninsula is a great road trip. Watch out for speed traps coming into the little towns though!

All the better when you drop the top!
