I currently have these tire and plan on putting them to the test very soon. On the street, they feel great. im really looking forward to seeing how they do on a prepped surface.
Are those the Billet Specialties wheels?

I finally got back to the track and the tires seemed to do well. The best 60ft to date on the hoosiers is a 1.32 and I have been a 1.25 on the MT ET Street Rs. My car is a turbo car and it is on the edge of traction with the stock suspension to hit 1.2 60 fts. I think the hoosiers work just as well but I have not nailed the tune again. They are also around 10lbs lighter each.

what tire pressure are you putting those on ? i have those tires and best i got so far 1.4 but also I only went to track 2 times with the car so still working on suspension and install a better boost controller

10lbs of rotational weight is a huge deal. I'd think that'd make a major difference.

I BBC was running 17 hot but I think they need a bit more air pressure. The last time I went the pressure got too low and car was struggling to hook up. The key to a good 60 on a turbo car is the launch boost and ramp rate. Get as much boost in as fast as the car will take it.

Do use a trans brake?
I would kill for a 1.3 60ft in my Hellion car . It would probably net a high 8 since car now traps mid 150’s

I can build 5-6 psi on the foot brake which would net me high 1.4 60’s with the ET R’s - best ET has been 9.3@149-150.

last time out it went side ways as soon as boost ramped up after launch ..... in 50 * weather running the MT bracket radials - but those were 9 inch wide tires on a 15 wheel .
Last time I am ever going to try them on that car.🥺
I am sticking with the 17 inch tire , either the Hoosier or the trusted ET R.

I have a trans brake now but want to avoid using it if i can .
