Haven't been able to check mine, but is there a consensus that if you are say at 1900 miles, and have made a few 160 mph pulls and say, several short blasts something would have popped? Im still checking either way next week, but I have a meet tomorrow and im nervous about all this
I think if your chain was going to slip a few teeth, it would have done so by now.
Did you get a notice on your Ford Pass App? If not, likely not even part of the FSA.

Not using the app because I have my tin foil hat on. Lol when I say a few pulls, I'm guessing around 20 or 25 short blasts. 3 or 4 160s

Yup. Field action says broken secondary chain tensioner. Will have to check Wednesday. Obviously if something happens it will be ford's issue not mine

May I suggest getting a dental mirror and having a look? Use my photo as a reference.

Looks like we have 2 big threads on this. Just posted this over on the "TSB for Secondary Cam Chain Tensioner" thread. Tough to get a pic in focus especially with an iPhone, but got a couple. L0176 looks good so far. Build date June 23rd - second of the day. Builder Adam Stier.

All good here. Checked with a scope this morning and the collar was very visible. Thanks to all for help and offers to help

My guy just called me to say there is a new Inspection and Delivery Hold for the GT500 engine - secondary cam chain tensioner.

Even though my car fits the window, it’s not on the VIN specific list. I’m sure I would have noticed if I have this problem.

Added the Inspection Guide referenced in the notice.
Had mine checked today. I’m in the clear. Whew!!

Do you check when the engine is stone cold or warm?
