It is my daily but plenty of other people use aftermarket steering wheels without airbags on their daily’s. I know it obviously less safe but from what NRG said, a lot of old vehicles didn’t even come with them and aren’t required by law so I’m not too worried.
I haven’t seen anyone on this forum swap out wheels like this and keep the factory functions. It’s your car so do what you want but if you really want to keep the paddles consider something else.

Sure, some people do it. Doesn't mean it isn't dumber than hell.

I also just perused NRGs site, and looked at all three pages of their steering wheel offerings, and I got three words;

Tre.
Mendously.
Ghetto.

Like......VatoZone specials with extra Gimp souce.

Can we start a Mustang rescue service? Stop people from pimping their rides?

But if you're gonna do it, go big. Get NRG's "stripper's butt-crack g-string" steering wheel;

It will go nicely with your complete interior modifications;

Like I said in my previous videos there are far better aftermarket steering wheel option out there are far exceed NRG and they keep almost all features working. The reason I said almost is because none of them have the heated steering wheel option.

I also see it unsafe for a daily driven car, now if it was an only track car then you wouldn't care to lose all other options.

I swear to God Op, if you install one of those NRG steering wheels in a 2018 Mustang, I'll stalk you, find you, hunt you down, and slap the vato-ricer out of you. :cwl: :cwl:

Get yourself a custom built wheel and maintain all the functions of your original.

I personally feel those skinny NRG wheels would look a little strange siting on the large steering column of the S550. Those look more at home in older vehicles, old civics or trucks.

I mean I wouldn’t put it in the Stang... but that “Stripper’s butt-crack g-string” steering wheel is pretty sick..

Good point on insurance.id check with insurers and see if youe heavi ly injured in a crash and wirhout a airbag would you be covered.im,betting no.theircactuarys compile data overtime and there's no doubt safer cars are lower insurance.

I think you are right but OP doesn’t care. He just wanted to know about transferring current wheel functions to the wheel he wants. The answer is no so hopefully that will end this thread.
