Sorry if this has been asked before. How long will Ford build the Mach1?

I may want to jump into one in a year or so.

Looks like it’s going to be a 2 year run

I definitely think history will repeat itself. Ford had the Mach 1 in 03 and 04, and the new S197 in 05. We have a S650 coming for 2023, so definitely expect this to be a 2 year run.

What is really drawing me to the Mach 1 is the Tremec. I have a 2020 GT PP1 car with the Ford Racing power kit and Ford racing track kit for the suspension. Love the way the car runs and handles. However, the Mach 1 name and the Tremec could be a reason why I would move on. Also maybe have my eye on the G82 M4.

Hey Dave, you should test drive a Mach and feel the Tremec for yourself, I really liked it. It also does a much better job of keeping the revs in the powerband than the MT82... in 2nd through 5th gear, it's more powerful than my car with 4.09's:

Not sure the Mach would be as big of a difference for guys who drive automatics, but manual guys should notice a big difference.

The ratios of the Tremec is what is drawing me to it. Also the diffy and tranny cooling.
I got such a great deal on my 2020 it's hard to make a decision financially.

That was by far the biggest hurdle I had to overcome too. Can’t think of anything about my car that I like better except the color.

I got a base 300a PP1 car for $38K new....right in the heart of the first shutdown. My financing was 0% interest for 72mos. The car now has a Ford Racing Track kit, Ford Racing Power kit and other items. I love the car...

last year, at Ford Nationals in Carlisle PA, i asked that same question, Carl Widmann (Ford Chief Engineer) replied this S550 mach1 will only be a two yr prod model (2021 & 2022). that said, i'm wondering what other exterior colors they have in mind for 2022.
