I think both wheels are good options. I think blue the Shelby on the center cap of the brushed wheels would pop good.

And we're waiting...……. Is it done yet?

I hear ya Rob. I am doing my best to be patient, that's for sure. As the wether gets better it just keeps getting harder to wait. At least I will get to see it in person at the end of next month when I go out for the first 15 event.

I am also looking forward to meeting some great people while I am there.

I agree Josh. I look forward to doing some personal touches to it once it's mine.

It's been a little bit since I have posted, mostly because I haven't had any news to report. You may have seen elsewhere that Shelby American was at the Barrel Jackson event this past weekend? My POC @ SA sent me some pictures of it as it was being prepped to bring to the event.

Here is the very first 2020 GT500 SE (CSM: 20DSE0001) Wide Body

So besides the wide body, this car has painted over the top & side stripes, and he has chosen to leave the hood side vents exposed carbon fiber.

Personally selected options include a painted to match rear spoiler, with matching stripes, rear seat delete with paint to match harness bar, and custom selected seat covers.

At the time of these images, the trunk & grill "Signature Edition" billet aluminum emblems, and the round Carroll Shelby signature C pillar emblems have not been installed yet. These pictures were taken before the car went to PDI.

Something of note. Because this car, and mine are wide body cars, the side strip is done in the traditional wide body style, which I like a lot better. The stripe stops at the rear of the door, as opposed to going all the way to the rear wheel. Also, the wording gets moved around so "SHELBY" is on the door, and "Signature Edition" is on the front fender. Below is a picture of the non wide body for comparison.

A friend of mine attended the event, and was nice enough to grab me some under the hood images.

Here is exactly how the car is optioned

A few under the hood shots. The coolant tank is an option, the caps are standard

I now know the Griptec pulley size is 2.95, which will increase the stock 12 psi, to 13 psi

Caster/Camber plates are standard

I also go this from Shelby, it's the CE Racing intercooler that comes with the package

I also learned a few things these past few weeks. The original press release stated that the car would come with upgraded axles. Well, not anymore. Apparently G-Force has not yet produced the correct axle for the GT500. I am hearing they will be 6+ months before they come to market.

Three months ago, a new suspension option was offered to me, which I jumped on immediately. Shelby (by MMS) coilovers! Not your everyday coilovers, but a completely new design that is compatible with magnaride.

Well, since the axles are not available, SA has swapped them for the coilovers as part of the standard package. As much as I liked the idea of the Gforce axles, I like the coilovers even more, so I am happy.

Also, the initial plans for the read deck lid was to keep the stock one with the cobra, and add the Signature Edition emblem to the bottom right corner. They have since decided to use the Super Snake rear deck lid with the emblem instead.

Lastly, I am told my car is next to start production "soon".

I can’t decide if I like the painted swing or not. But man do I love those seat covers! Any update on getting your wing bud?

the rear wheel doesn't look right to me. Seems a little buried in the new wheel well.

Personally I am not a fan of the painted swing. Doesn’t look bad, I just like the way black, or carbon fiber doesn’t blend in with the the car.

No updates on the wing unfortunately. I am on a list, but no idea when I will actually get one.

I think that’s because this car is lowered, and now the gap is gone. When I look at pictures of my car in stock form, and if I lowered it, it would look the same.

Seat covers are next level. Nice to see Shelby show Ford how to do it right.
They are awesome, but they leave the door cards and centre console stripes looking forgotten about - should they be colour coded to match ?

The standard Signature Edition seats are all black. The owner of this car chose to color match the orange accents. He knew that it would not match the console or door cards.

I still have issues with the rocker extensions, especially on a bright color....they look out of place and added on. We have talked about this before....either body color or the lower complete rocker needs to be black to flow right. Just my opinion....everything else I like. I also have NO IDEA how that coolant cap isn't hitting the rain tray......

Same here. The previous WB from shelby was amazing, and that entire lower piece of the quarter pannel was widened as well and flowed so well. Not sure why they didn't do that here
