Newbie here. Recently traded my mustang GT convertible (2013) for a Shelby GT350.
After several years driving German cars (when I was in Europe) and started my journey with couple of mustang GT ... I am back with a sport car: mustang + sport car! Love it. Just amazed of what Ford/Shelby did with this car. I read so many good press about this car with most of the people putting it as a "must have" car. I understand now why. This is just the beginning for me but I am amazed with this Voodoo engine ... and the car in general. (well you all know it here ...)

It is a 2018, chassis J3325. Race red.

Not a R but the previous owner changed to the R logo (like it with the rest of the color of the car).

My 2016 Avalanche Grey with the track pack. I can't remember my chassis number and the car is currently in winter storage. The gen v whipple went on late last season so I'm hoping to enjoy it fully this summer. It's quite the handful now and I have to be mindful not to bang it off the limiter. But the revs climb so freaking fast after 4000.

I just picked up my 2017 GT350 from CoPart in Nashville, TN a couple weeks ago. She is a little rough, but she has great potential. Ill be asking a lot of dumb questions, I am sure.

I've made a few lists of parts I need and bought a bunch of stuff off of eBay and from a couple Mustang suppliers.

I've been reading a lot of posts about things I an interested in. I look forward to sharing my progress and I make her road worthy and track worthy.

My plan is to get her straight and keep all the parts I can original Ford Shelby GT350 parts. It seems there are a lot of wrecked Shelbys and a never-ending supply of parts out there.

I love running on the track, so I plan on making some significant upgrades to improve handling and overall performance. So far, I have ordered the Steeda K-Member, Rear Subframe braces, motor mounts, and rear subframe spacers. I've also bought a set of new HRE track wheels with Michelin Sport Cup 2's in the GT350R sizes.

I'll be needing all three coolers, as they all have slight to moderate damage. If there is an upgrade in these areas, I definitely want to spend some money there. The oil cooler lines took a hit, so I have to change these out as well.

I haven't been able to find a roll bar for it, so I may have to make my own. I would rather have that than just the harness bar.

Once I get it drivable, my nephew is going to drive it daily to college and we are going to share it on the track on the weekends. (The GT350R wheels and tires are for the track only)

I just bought the CERVINI GT500 heat extractor hood to be used on the track. I think this will do a much better job at keeping the engine cool.

I will be getting a front splitter and probably a 2019 GT350 spoiler with the Gurney lip for Road Atlanta and Barbers, where I will need some high speed downforce.
