Ironically, my first car was a 1978 Mustang II Coup with the inline 4. That was over 20 years ago and I was 17. The body and paint looked amazing but had a lot of mechanical issues. If I had it now it would be an awesome project. Wish I could go back and smack myself for trading it.
All my vehicles have been from the Big 3. I've never owned anything that wasn't from them. I was originally looking at Challengers and Chargers. Then starting looking at Mustangs and even Camaros. I knew I wasn't getting a V8 as I wanted a newer car with less miles as I had a budget. The Mustang seemed to have more pep. It was just fun to drive. So about 5 weeks ago I got a good deal on a 2020 Mustang Ecoboost Premium with about 12k miles on it. It had everything I wanted except the full digital dash. Maybe one day I'll spring for that.
