On the Truck/15-17 manifold it's all downhill after 6500 rpm. That's been proven to nauseum. What surprised me is it pulls to 6900 RPM.
The '18+ truck manifold is a completely different animal. Like the difference in Mustang manifolds from Gen2 to Gen3.On the Truck/15-17 manifold it's all downhill after 6500 rpm. That's been proven to nauseum.
Have you heard of a downshift? As it is I gained a lot of toque, it is nice to be able to use 6th gear at 60 and have power, and I lost nothing up top.
So for me this is a win.
actually some magazine (hotrod?) did a test with 5 different intakes a few years ago (circa 2018) where they tested all this in some detail. I don't recall which gen F150 intake they were testing but it might have been a '17.he only write up is my first post.
