Hello everyone, I’m new here but currently have a 2017 GT and am looking to go the FI route with one the next few months. I know a mail tune can be sometimes hit or miss. Anyone know of any good tuners in the NY area. I’m about 2 hrs north of NYC. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I’m debating between a roush stage 2 or the Loki kit from VMP. Thanks

With the age of the car I'd say skip the Roush. Those are mostly advantageous if bought / installed at time of the car purchase to utilize their warranty. Even if leary of mail tunes the majors on the platform know their stuff. Lund, VMP, PBD, AED etc.

Thanks yeah I’m liking the Loki kit the more I look at it, just wish I knew a good reputable tuner somewhere in the tri state area. I once drove like 3 hrs into PA and got burned with a shop out there.

If you are going to buy the VMP kit have them tune it.

Hudson Valley? Not sure of any specialty shop but would be interested, I'm just over the border in MA...

This. Loki is a complete kit that includes tuning from VMP.

Why do you need to go anywhere? Most of the cars on this forum are datalogged and tuned remotely. Its easy and safe. The car has wideband o2's, no need to go to a shop with a dyno and get a tune.

True I think honestly I’m intimidated by doing data logging lol. Anyone deal with a shop in bullville NY called Strictly Fords??? I want to make sure the shop that would do the install knows what they are doing.

the cars have built in wide bands, a remote tune is as bit as good as a "dyno tune"

not to mention tuners like lund have more experience with the coyotes than pretty much most tuners combined,

tons of benefits to that

:)

You can't go wrong with a custom remote tune from either Lund Racing or Palm Beach Dyno. Both of them have tons of experience and can tune better remotely than most tuners can tune in person. They've also tuned more of these cars than anyone else so there's no worrying about them using your car as a test mule.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need help placing an order. We're a dealer for both and have everything you need here in stock.

Thanks!

Datalogging is not hard once you learn a device like the Ngauge. A remote tune can be extremely effective based on my first time go with a supercharger.

Tuning from the comfort of the front drivers seat = hard to beat.
