$25 for your spare? He was certainly looking to take advantage of you! After market set ups are a couple hundred dollars, Ford is more I think. I just ordered a spare jack with the lug wrench for my Edge from a junkyard and it was $60 by itself.
By the way, if anyone is interested, the Edge jack is identical to the one in the mustang. The only difference is that the lug wrench comes in a pouch rather than attaching to the jack. It was also less expensive than ones out of a mustang by $20-$30.
That’s Facebook s550 group for you. I see all kinds of sleezy sells post and scams

people dogging cars, 10 min long burnout bragging etc vids etc

1 month later they post “beautiful car, never abused or hot rodded, won’t find a nicer more cared for car” but a lot of people typically call them out

How would I know if my 2019 stock GT/CS with 19" wheels came with the Brembo Calipers?
Is there something on them that would tell me?

They don’t. Only the PP1 and PP2 have them. They would say Brembo on them.

Got a screw in my tire, barely made it to the tire shop. Could just imagine being out of cell range, tire damaged beyond the goop stuff, and being labeled as “Victim #1“ when they find me months later. Hate the idea of having to buy a spare tire.
Trust me you aren't vitcim #1, Within the first 3 months of ownership I had to replace not 1, not 2 but 3 tires for that same exact reason. I still haven't gotten the spare tire but it is on my todo list.

I'm trying to figure out how I am going to install a sound system with the spare kit in the back. I hope the spare kit doesn't rattle and make a lot of noise.

I've owned this car 4 years and have had 3 flats. That's than I have had in the 43 years I've been driving. I have the Automotive Authority spare and it works great.

This is the difficult part about Ford. Yes they do make spares that work with those Brembos. They just won't sell them to you. Internationally, they put on those Performance Pack wheels more often than they do here.

I was shocked when I saw they get a full-size spare.

Why in the hell won't they sell this in the states?

Have you ever seen what passes for roads in most of India? No American buyer would accept this.

A wonder where the Australian wheel is manufactured. Regardless $832 would also make it a no go here. Owners bitch about the $500 for the AA spare.

PLEASE, please tell me you did not pay sticker price for your Mustang. The price listed should not be the price you're paying for Ford vehicles and/or parts.

It's not $832 US dollars, it's more like $585 listed including their 10% VAT.

I can go pick up a spare from a Ford dealer for less than $200 saving over 20%. - Doing some quick math on the Aussie spare to remove VAT and find a market rate of 20% off, it would be right around $420 for the complete kit, $529 list price.

Will Ford do this? No. But once you adjust for the USDM, the price wouldn't be bad compared to the free market solution here.

The solution for the PP1 guys is simple. Kinda. 1” spacer and the spare tire kit. If you get a rear flat you are fine. If you get a front flat you have to move a rear to the front and then install the spacer and put the spare on the back.
So, it's dark, my PP1 has a front flat on the side of the highway, it's raining, and you want me to:
Jack up back of the car,
Pull the rear tire off,
Put the spare on the rear,
Jack up the front,
Pull the front tire off,
Install a spacer, and
Put the rear tire on the front.
instead of:
Jack up the front of the car,
Pull the front tire off, and
Put the spare on the front.

No thanks. I got the AA spare (https://www.automotiveauthorityllc....ang-gt-with-brembo-brakes?variant=35757212297), stuck it under the trunk floor with a breaker bar and a socket, and I'm happy about it.

If you get a front flat you have to move a rear to the front and then install the spacer and put the spare on the back.
As mentioned above, it'd be a charade to do that. I don't carry a spare either for several reasons. But the main 2 are: a rear tire basically fills the entire trunk... which would be full on a trip, so what the hell would you do? And second, the Steeda jacking rails prevent me from using the factory jack at the front, which would mean having to carry an even heavier and bulkier special jack to be safe. Other reasons are I don't want an additional 40+ lbs at the rear constantly, have never used a spare in my 58+ years, and odds of needing one when paying attention where you're treading are minimal, plus carrying a flat repair kit decrease those odds even further.

Bottom line for me is you can't carry a repair shop on your car, so for rare breakdown occurrences, from a flat you can't repair, to a mechanical issue, that's what roadside assistance is for. But to each his own, of course.

This is effectively the full AA kit
Well, you still have to buy several parts to make it fit like OEM :). One thing I noticed is the AA jack seems a lot less beefier than stock, full of holes, so not sure it was intended for a heavy Mustang. The OEM jack is solid for a reason, so I wouldn't skimp on a few ounces there. But yes, it's more expensive than the AA one. My bottom line, as mentioned above, is even this kit is FAR from ideal, so not worth the bother IMO.
