Sorry to hear but that is a hell of a statement to hear Ford will buy her back. And meaning that’s comforting to know Ford stands behind their product should you wish to give it back.

First had brake issues, then the starter failed. When the dealer replaced the starter they found the starter issue must have caused the ABS Module to fail as well. The ABS module was on national back order, expected to be released at the end of October. After 30 days out of service I started a case with Ford. A few days later the part mysteriously showed up. It is running again, but still having some electrical gremlins, now the apple car play won't work correctly

It doesn't work like that. You don't just drop it off at the dealership, toss them the keys and say give me my money back. Its quite the long process. You don't get money back for any extras (PPF or ADM). I believe the money goes towards a new Ford. I remember there was an in depth thread about it in the 350 section. It aint a bowl of cherries.

A specific question.... Have you been through the process?

Good points and I have never had this happen. I have only heard of stories and I do know it’s a bit of a battle. Wonder how hard it was for @Don’s Stang?

I think you even eat the sales tax and tag/title. I should try to resurrect that old post, it was from someone who went through the process.

I don't read where Don's Stang went through the process.

Anyway. If you buy one of these cars and you have issues, a buyback is the option of last resort.

I’m in the “I’m Happy” camp. Got my second oil change and dealer replaced the defective back up camera today. After 6,500 miles, absolutely LOVE this car. It’s def a monster hitting rural Midwest curvy roads with leaves changing. Only downside to that is winter is coming. Per @Epiphany resurrected air filter thread, I ordered one of those today too since the factory one needs replaced.

I haven't found any serious flaws to date, but I did find some stuff initially that should've been caught. My hood and/or one of the fenders is slightly misaligned and the carpet by the drivers door was not tucked under the plastic door sill trim completely. I also have a wheel that has a mark on the outer edge that kind of looks like there was a nick in the wheel and it was just painted over by the wheel vendor. The S550 has been plagued by quality issues overall and we all should demand better. Even though I can say my car is ok so far, I still feel for those who got duds because that should not be happening, especially for what we pay for these things.

Tom, have you looked into getting something else that would suit your needs like a Porsche or a BMW? I don’t think Ford is cutting it for you at this juncture.
I know where the door is. When I decide to use it, I'll make sure to to not let it hit me in the ass.

Until then, I will bang away and continue to fix all these defects and document every one of them. Im happy for all of you who are happy with the product Ford is putting out.

Yeah, I wasn’t implying anything of that sort. Just asking at what point you felt like cutting your losses and moving on. Especially since you have run into these issues after waiting so long and they haven’t responded when you reached out. I sincerely hope you can get things worked out and enjoy the car, because I think it is a great car.

Sure, If I could go out and buy another CFTP tomorrow..... You know I cant do that. Besides, like I mentioned before, I have a lot of time and money wrapped up in this wonderful Ford product.
