Yeah, Subies are 'different', but you don't have to join the 'culture' to enjoy owning one.

Understand that with the WRX you can still get a stick in a reasonably peppy 4-door car that can pass for a family sedan for $30k or so. Can't do that with any US domestic make or (as far as I know offhand) any other Japanese make. I'd rather own an out-of-warranty Subie than an out-of-warranty BMW . . .

I used to work at Langan Porsche Audi and lived on Albany street. I almost was killed in 1974 at the intersection of Brandywine and State. I was on my Honda 500 cycle going through a greenlight and a women driving a station wagon had her brakes fail and missed me by 1 second.
