2017 Corvette from a roll... no problem... now that surprised me... 10A base GT faster than a 2017 Corvette top end :)
Motortrend and C&D trapped 119 and 120 mph with the A10 GT. I haven't seen a C7 with a trap speed that high. They are in the 117 mph range, so I'm not surprised you took him by a bit, esp. if you got a slight jump (hard to go at exactly the same time in roll races).

Lol, he didn't know I just have a 6. But it really wasn't that quick. I turned off and he kept going.
Yeah, the "fast" cars of the 60s and early 70s ran 13s in the 1/4 mile. "Sort of quick" ones ran low 14s: A good match for a modern V6 or Ecoboost Mustang.

The power creep! When I had my sn95 I remember shooting for 13s as my goal. Now I can just got and buy a 12 second car. It's crazy to think that a 10 second 1/4 mile may be considered slow someday.

Yes, I've wondered if cars have hit a point of diminishing returns on acceleration. I've often wondered if in 25 years a stock Mustang GT will be running mid 10s @ 138 mph from the factory.

It will most likely be electric....so if it does it will be very quite....oh wait....in 25 years they may want the sound back...so electric with the sound of a V8 pumped in. :)

By then I'll be driving around in a Pro Street something. Most likely a truck with a Chevy crate 502 or 540. Most likely a pro street build 60-70's Chevy truck. I'd rather do 11's in a gas car\truck with a great choppy sound than 9's in an electric.

What were they saying his car was making? 5000 hp? He's prepared for it all!

The canyons are really popular spots here in Colorado for car enthusiasts. About half the time I go for canyon runs someone will try and race me up the canyon. Whether or not you can put distance on them is considered win/lose. Last month a Toyota Camry TRD thought it could play - but the only time it got close was when I had to slow down and wait to pass an RV/van/truck, etc. However, I do think Toyota at least made them look good, even if they are gutless. Today it was a BMW 340i M Sport. I was actually intimidated because I know how good they are, but he couldn't keep up. Maybe he didn't know the road like I did, but he only closed the gap on long straights.
I enjoy the twisty's myself, the other day a 370Z roll ran me and got the jump but I pulled ahead of him quickly. BMR suspension rules!

Had a new awd Tesla 3 Performance school me off the line pretty good. I looked over and before I realized what was happening light turned green and he hit it. I jammed it and went up in smoke. They move out from a dig as they run 11.6-11.8’s @ 114-116 mph.

I catch him down the road from a roll and returned the favor. From 60 mph just walked him. Then again he tries to come around me about 45 mph and I stab going sideways hook and bye bye. Around 80-90 mph really gapping good. A stock 18 GT a10 would have his hands full from a roll... Beware! Mine has intake, exhaust, ported tb, and E85 tuning.

lol.. yeah if you’ have power adders don’t race Tesla’s, mid\rear engine, and awd’s for that matter from a dig unless you do a burnout first. I have a good roll out technique ( also start in 2nd ) that I have used to whoop some AWD ass but it’s unpredictable at best with these Michigan roads.

Yeah it was like 63 degrees out so no real low gear hook was going to happen. The drag 1-2 and 2-3 shifts cause all the silliness. Being a non drag mode car my tuner has my S on shifter the drag mode. So no real way to toggle back out of manual (2nd gear) unless I do a up into D and back into S shuffle. I think the Tesla driver thought I was a 15-17 pp1 car which he would have murdered from a dig or a roll. These electrics are only going to get faster in the end. Lol.

Put down some kid in a 370Z yesterday. His car might've had some work done-- seemed decently quick. Mine's a practically stock '19 A10 PP1.
