I was on the same boat as you not to long ago. I was undecided on which turbo kit to go with, single or twins. In the end it came down to the BBR single and Hellion Sleeper. Never really considered the on3 kit due to the install complications and relocating the fuse box.

I ended up going with the Hellion Sleeper Kit with Precision BB 6266’s. Hellion recommends the 6266 turbos for the 10r80 cars. I ordered my kit 7/31 and have received a majority of the kit already. Just waiting on the turbos and Ic. I plan to run the car on 12-14 lbs on e85.

The on3 top mount is a tight fit, but does fit. You're saving a lot of money with huge power potential. If you take your time and make sure the manifold flanges are flat, you'll be fine. After doing two different top mount cars, it's not a bad route. I was going to pull the trigger on their low mount, but it's discontinued. They're now releasing a single kit that I'll pull the trigger on. Other single kits require fender exit and use stupid routing with the stock exhaust manifolds. Hellion mid mount uses a similar design unless you get tubular headers.

I'll keep this in mind sir. I am currently having a hard time convincing my builder of the low mount but the more time I've spent reading the more stories I have heard just like yours. When you say top mount, were your turbos together in the center hanging in front of the motor/radiator?

I believe my builder is suggesting we get the on3 kit to have a top mount header and other reference pipes, and just remake anything flimsy or troubling. My argument is that I still think, even off too the sides, there will be too much heat trapped under the hood at idle for comfortable summer driving in the heat of california summers.

I'll also say that money isn't really an issue more than doing the right setup is... I feel like for a cali resident of at least the next 5 years (if I survive that long out here lol) the street sleeper does it right. I'll give you a ring if I land on that kit.

Any suggestions on what size/setup to go with on the turbos? I'd like to future proof a bit as a built motor and trans are in the future, but I figure the smaller they are the easier they'll fit down there. Maybe someone can correct me on that.
I would go with the 62s if you want to build the engine in the future. I made 1200whp on the 62s and it seemed like they had quite a bit left in them.

This is exactly what I was looking for man. Thank you.

The more I read the less i feel like top mount is the way to go.

I'm also in the middle of the "headers or cat deletes" equation and this seems to be going hand in hand with putting a 2014 header on the driver side (which I have on hand)...

Anyone done a side by side of Hellhorses' low mount kit with the sleeper kit? Would anyone speak to one vs the other from experience?

Were these the house brand cast ball bearing turbos or the PTE ball bearings? Do you guys have much feedback on their house brand units?

I have the Hellion kit on my car. Did the install myself. Instructions are extremely detailed, and everything is packaged nicely. Customer support from them was excellent also, picked up immediately and always spoke to a very nice and very helpful individual without going through any machines. Shit I would go with them again just for that alone.

If I had to bitch about something, it would be the quality of the hardware. I was basically sent cut up threaded rod from the hardware store for all of the studs. Also had to modify the scavenge pump mounting plate as the holes didn't line up with the studs on the motor. On the other hand, everything in the On3 kit seems to be chinese crap, and there's a lot of questionable components to it, with quite a bit of modification needed. Such as the fuse box relocation; the amount of posts about water getting in it and the car having issues is unreal. Although maybe I'm the retard because those guys will make the power I do at 1/3rd the cost.

Currently tuning with Lund and I'm thrilled at how much power this car has, even on pump gas and only 9lbs of boost. Things an animal. I don't think you can go wrong either way, but if you want a straight bolt in deal, I think you're better off going Hellion.

both ktis are nice, you'll have probably double the install time in the on3 than the sleeper kit, something to keep in mind if your paying some, and sometimes you run into some little quirks that may need some fabrication / exertise esperience

power can be made on either kit.

if your a do it yourselfer, you can get away with the on3 and save a few bucks, but the hellion sleeper ir priced really nice for a usa made turbo kit. and it flows really well

we sell both options

One last wrench in the works...

hellion street sleeper or HellHorse mid mount (pretty much low mount)

I heard the hellhorse kit sits a bit higher contributing to better clearance below? Any concerns with one vs the other?

I couldn’t find much info on the Aldo welds kit, anyone have insight on that and if that’s worth it?

im probably a month or so away from starting the first stage of upgrades to get to about 7-800whp on e85. Just need to land on a turbo setup

I had the hellion sleeper kit on my 19 A10 with the upgraded precision 62mm turbos. Ran the 7lb springs on E85 and the car went 10.3 @140. I did not do the install but the shop who did told me the sleeper kit was one of the nicest kits they have installed. The shop has been around for years so I am guessing they have installed tons of turbo kits. Didn't have any issues with the clearance but I wouldn't go romping over any speedbumps.

Now the real question. Anybody know current lead time for both ON3 and Hellion from when you place the order?

I got my Hellion Kit in exactly a month from the day I ordered it. I actually got the kit before I got the intercooler and Precision turbos which were drop shipped.
