Why didn't he just rename it and don't Ford own the patents for the parts ?

That is the million Dollar question... If you get a letter stating to cease and desist, then you just change the name to Elizibeth (Eleanor's Bad Ass sister)

I would still think a different spelling could hold up legally. It sounds like they only own Eleanor Mustangs. I would go with Ellenoor But I ain't no lawyer, so that's just me guessing. And I am stating it more sarcastically than seriously. :)
