Took my 2016 6speed GT to the track, first time running this car. Only mod is corsa exhaust and 19x11 rear forgestars with 305 Michelin Pilot Super sports. It's a track pack car with the torsen rear end and 3.73 gears.
I launched holding about 2500 and slipping the clutch out, shifting aggressively right before redline but not trying to beat the crap out of it either. Didn't really do a burnout, more like a 2-3 second spin the dirt off after I drove around the water box. Also did not pay any attention to tire pressure.
Definitely room for improvement, what was a little concerning is I had a 2014GT Base in the past, with Roush exhaust and still the 18x8 wheels it ran 13.3 at 110. Same track, but this is June in South Florida and when I ran my 2014 it was in December.

Here's my time slip, let the roasting begin! (Jk, but any tips would be much appreciated and well received).

60ft is killing you.
You will need to lower it maybe get a slick in the back.
Also the DA was high thats why your trapspeed its low should at least be 110mph.

You should be able to launch higher with does tires you have at least try 3500rpms and set tire pressure at 28psi.

You need to practice more.

This is my pass it was on the street non prep surface pirelli oem tires car has a lund tune, awe cattback and a drop in air filter also a 2016GTPP.
Tire pressure was set at 30psi and launched the car at 3300rpms using launch control in track mode. The DA was very high 7,000 plus DA.
Hope this helps.

I appreciate that. Next time out I'll give it a shot, this time was more of a feeler. Definitely wasn't trying to beat the crap out of the car either, the only thing that really bugged me was my 2014 base GT going 13.3 at 110 basically launching the same. Only difference was that run was in Florida in December, and this run was Florida in June. high 60's vs high 80's.

Are you holding around 3k - 3500 rpms and aggressively slipping the clutch or more dropping it?

I use launch control in the car i set it to 3300rpms if you get a slick dont use lc just change it to rpm so you can hold it where ever you want.

And the clutch pedal i do a quick slip if i drop it the car bogs down.

Buy a dragy it will help you know the car more and you can practice anywhere.

DA is what affected your cars comparing it with 2014 GT.

Download trc app to your cell phone to measure DA.

Good luck

2015 gt pp. Pretty much every bmr part they make which was overkill but I couldn't put up with the bad wheel hop on the street. No hop at all at the strip with slicks even with the stock suspension. I also upgraded the axles for piece of mind. Stock clutch lasted for probably 30 5k rpm launches and then upgraded to McCloud rst clutch. Ran 11.1 @ 123 with edelbrock stage 1 supercharger and then got the itch for something new and traded her in. Have fun and good luck!
