I've got a 2016 GT and my wife has a 2020 Jeep Wrangler. She can get stations in the 300+ range but I can't. Same package from Sirius. Anyone else able to get those higher stations? Is there an update to the radio to allow those stations?

Your 16’ has the older chipset, so it’s limited to those lower channels. The updated radios started rolling out in MY19.

No channels numbered 300 or higher (it’s actually like channel 240 and higher, if I remember correctly) can be accessed by the radio. But, you can access them through the SiriusXM app. As a bonus, the audio quality is much better via the app. You can control the audio quality in the app.

I have a 2019 and I can’t get channels above 240 or so.

Sirius XM channel line up shows the channels 301 and above only available via streaming or the APP.

I think I will download the APP while still in my trial period and give that a try via Android Auto.

Only a few vehicle lines got it. Mustang was part of the v3.3 SSM for nav prompts skipping, so I would think at least some of them have it given that's linked with the newer radio.

Chrysler Jeep and GM products actually use XM and not Sirius like Ford. So the channels are a little different with different numbering for them. Even though it is one company, SiriusXM, there are differences in the receivers.

Thanks. That explains a lot then.

It used to be that way, but that was before the merger. You can’t buy an XM tuner anymore, only a SiriusXM tuner.
My 2016 Volvo XC90 has received channels 300 and up since April 2016.

Even post merger, it depends upon what your tuner is set up to. That is one of the reasons why when you go to Siriusxm.com and want to see a channel line up it asks what kind of car you have. Some channels are in different locations depending upon the base used.

Last time I rented a Chrysler for example I went to check on traffic in the Detroit area - and it wasn't on channel 135 like in my Mustang. Other channels were numbered differently as well.
