3D printed? Molded? Vacuum formed?

Inquiring minds want to know....

Honestly I don't know, haha. I just assumed they were 3D printed, I will ask.

EDIT: They are 3D printed

I finally received my RPI cam covers. They are painted Ford Performance Blue, with white accents. I have purchased many RPI painted products over the past 5 years, they always do a great job.

Here is the passenger side before & after. You might also notice that I switched to a JLT catch can, from the one that comes with the handling package. This was mostly a visual decision, as the OEM catch can almost completely covers the cam cover. The functionality of the decision is, it will be way easier to work on the car going forward. Things like injector work, or changing the plugs will be much easier.

Finished product.

I just wanted to share this next part with anyone who will be installing, or uninstalling the OEM catch can. You will soon discover installing the three bracket nuts can be challenging, especially the one that is just above the passenger side header. If you place the nut in one of these "grabbers", you can get the nut where it needs to go, without dropping it into the abyss. You can also start the nut on the threads by turning the grabber until it starts threading on. This works great for taking the nuts off as well. Once I loosened the nut, I placed the grabber on it, and I spun it off with ease. It works really well.

That is just WAY KEWEL, Jaime! Where do you FIND all these vendors?! :-)

But...OMG those valve/cam covers are insanely gorgeous but I'm afraid that my days of "grabber" use are behind me, (I hope.) That said, I'm impressed with your abilities they REALLY make that motor stand out.

Thanks buddy. I have always been a fan of blue on engines, since my days as a kid building Fords with my dad. When I was 15 1/2 years old, I bought my first car which was a 1967 mustang coupe with a 302, and the engine was painted "Ford Blue".

Ahhhh, the memories, huh Jaime? Life would be pretty miserable without them me thinks.

Sadly, my Dad was dangerous with a screwdriver so I'm extremely envious of your formative years with your Pop and cars. I know from experience that those memories are indelible...at least until Dementia or Sometimer's sets in. :-)

And, I want that COOLANT TANK and the caps..and those tower covers! <grinning>

Without a doubt though, blue in the engine compartment looks better than red. <smile>

Those are the same guys that did all 5 of my engine caps. They really do a great job.

Jaime, those cam covers do look really good. I may have to do this (except the white lettering so as not to be copy cat). :)

I agree Mark, RPI does a good job. I had the same caps you have on my last car, only red with black lettering. They painted my rear window lip spoiler, and strut tower covers.

Get what ever color you want buddy, no copying here. We all bounce ideas off each other, as you have for me quite a few times. I love getting ideas from people, and yours are top notch. I might be inclined to go with black lettering, since you have black stripes. My only question would be, how well they would stand out...

Thanks Mark, I look forward to what you have up your sleeve next.

Lol, "dangerous with a screw driver". We all have our good memories buddy, that's all that matters.

Just get your credit card out, and open your web browser. Your cash reward points are waiting for you.

I will keep you posted on the strut tower covers, they most recent updated set are on the way to me now.

I like to disassemble things.

Dunno about that KB as you can do much the same with red too. I did this on my GT350...

Agreed Tob, Looks great in red. Personally I like them better color matched to the car, than the boring black they come in.
