after only 2 days I'm about to rip the pro-Actives off the EB in disgust.

We could've saved you the money lol...
yeah I know. Bought them 10 months ago. I've been couch-bound for over 4 months due to a freak injury. I had to try them instead of selling them to a forum member as NIB. Now I'm going to dyno the damn things. Gotta ring up my dyno guy and get dimensions of the mounts so I can make suitable adapters. I've got Bilstein rears sitting in a box and another set of lightly used Pro-Actions which I'm finally happy (enough) with.

m-18000-f and bmr sp083 is the perfect combination, Brian recommends it and it works wonders.
At this point why is anyone NOT listening to Brian?

Not sure people realize just how soft the base springs are for a car this size/weight. PP1 rates are marginal but decent. Just a bit more (200/800) is really good for a street car that's enthusiastically driven.
So I installed the J&M min drops today (210/815) and aside from the fact that they lowered the front 7/8" instead of 1/2", the car feels like it's bouncing all over the place. I even replaced the rear shocks with Steeda pro-action. What the heck? Bouncing was the LAST thing I expected. Bought some fender washers to stick under the strut mounts and gain about 3/16" of height in the front, getting it aligned in a couple days, but not sure if I'm gonna keep these or go back to the stock PP1 setup. It's a handful to drive, like riding a bull. All over the place. Here's before and after pics.

Bumpstops? Which Steeda shocks?
I trimmed the stock bumpstops 1" front and rear per the recommendation in Steeda's instructions for their 1/2" drop springs, and the rear shocks are the non-adjustable pro-actions (not actives).

Ford bump stops are lousy. Eibach ones are much softer and better IMO.
Steeda makes special shims for spacing the front struts to claw back ride height.

I think the bounce is coming from the rear. Might try lowering the tire pressures, they’re around 37-38.

Yeah I’m going to take a look at that point vs distributed load after taking the strut out and see if it looks safe enough.

Wasn’t going to do any shocks but got a good deal from a 6G member on the rears, and read posts complaining about the rear PP1 shocks but saying the struts are OK.

I did consider the Steeda front strut spacers but would rather not take the strut mounts apart if I don’t have to... haven’t ruled it out yet, still early.

yank down on the rear dust boot and see how much shaft you have free and clear. You can also get a sorta decent idea by pinching the dust boot and trying to find the edge of the shock and the bump stop.

I remember thinking there didn’t seem to be a lot of shaft exposed on the Steeda shocks after reassembly. Maybe 2”’at the most.

I will try lowering the tires pressures, I always ran around 35-ish but they’re a little higher today.

2" on a shock sitting on the table isn't helpful. We need to ascertain how much is free with the car sitting on the ground. Given the wheel-rate I think we'd want to see an absolute minimum of 1.5".
