Firstly, at no point in your rambling, unintelligent response were you even close to anything that would be considered defining what socialism is and how Bernie in any way fits the three main pillars of socialism. It is obvious you do not have an economics degree as you can not even understand that the simplest principle of socialism is removing privatization. Secondly, I don't need to live under a socialist government to tell you what one is and how one works as this is extremely basic and defined. Lastly, I can't change your mind as you are literally inept at learning simple concepts as a video for dummies wasn't even enough to educate you on a singular concept.

Edit: 'I lived in Venezuela I know socialism!' Get owned by thinking producing shitty oil and being unable to refine it was going to make you a rich country after you USSR'd the PDVSA, thanks 2008 and 2014 oil price crash. 95% of your exports were oil. Put all your eggs in one basket and got dominated, good job.
i never said Venezuelan government (non of them) were smart.. we actually had good refineries, destroyed by bad management under socialist government. but yes, depending only on oil was and it is retarded...

about my titles, yeah, maybe i thought that spending 10 years at Universidad de Carabobo and getting Economics and Industrial Relations i was getting degrees... maybe i was only there for the empanadas...

We understood you love old Bernie... that's fine.

After expending years fighting against chavistas, i'm done arguing about politics, left and right. you think you are smarter than me, i think i'm smarter than you... it's a never ending circle... have a nice day.

No, its the fact I understand US politics and economics. If you want to show me where his policies remove our capitalistic economy by all means go ahead but I'll let you know you won't find any.

The simplest way to describe Bernie is via the nordic method which is essentially economic democracy. Like political democracy, you have certain guaranteed rights like the right to education, healthcare, a place to sleep, a job that pays adequately, etc. This is a social democracy. More than 75% of developed nations use these policies, it is nothing new and they certainly are not socialist in the political/economic definition.

What people should be worried about is automation boosting productivity to the point where we enter a post-scarcity society where goods are distributed from each other according to his/her ability to each according to his/her needs. This would be along the lines of fully automated luxury. Something out of Star Trek rather than how the USSR red baiting media portrays it. Whether we like it or not society is going to end up at that point sooner rather than later.

if 2020 keeps trying to kill us the way is doing it so far... around July/August Amazon or Disney should become self aware and that's when judgment day will come...

Who knew! The constitution I read said that I have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The automation productivity fear is a tin hat society speculation that machines will replace us. Science fiction if you stretch your imagination far enough. Or, a nod to those that don't want to learn a trade to sustain themselves. Either way, it begs for someone else to provide for them.

{Another cut/paste down the nose explanation in 3...........2................1.................}

K, you're once again looking at this the wrong way. Welcome to innovation, stop being so close-minded.

Here's a video to help you understand.

Was not disappointed. Thing is, I work in technology. Humans will always be needed, but they need the proper training and motivation, something very much lacking in our current environment, especially the government sector.
"The Rise of the Machines" is as old as Orwell.

In Louisiana, that's a Natchitoches (pronounced: nah-codish) Meat Pie, similar to the meat pies in Jamaica.

yeah, those are "pastelitos" for us... our dough for the empanadas is different... and you can have a million different empanadas... chicken, grounded beef, pulled beef, cheese, shrimp, cazon (like tuna), etc...
