All,
Looking to to go the Procharger route with only a boost a pump on my 19 a10 Gt... I’ve seen where some have made 680-700rwhp on 93 but just curious how much further the fuel system could be pushed on let’s say an adequate race fuel that’s not oxygenated like c16 or something along those lines? Any good info would be much appreciated..
Thanks

You can calculate what you might need both for injector size and pump capacity. For safety, use .550 lb fuel/HP/hour. Use .8 (80%) for a safe maximum duty cycle on the injectors. Use 90% FPDC for safety on the pump. Gasoline is about 5.9 pounds per gallon. 700 RWHP is 385 lbs/hour (119 gallons, 464 liters) fuel. You'd need 60# injectors and 515 l/hr pump at those duty cycles Can you get by with less pump/injector, probably. These are just back of the envelope calculations.

Losing fuel pressure across the rails is a tell tale sign that the pump is inadequate for the amount of flow you need.

I wouldn't mess around with not having enough fuel. At least you could probably drop in a 267 or 274 they are only like 100 bux or so at summit racing.

What injectors are going to run? If you put a decent set of injectors in the car with a bap and just a drop in dw400 pump its enough to run whatever you want, e85 even. I built a 18 whipple car, 3.625 pulley with 1050x, bap and a dw400 running full e85 tuner says it still has room left in the fuel system. Return style is the preferred way though.

Why is that? Because of injector duty cycle is maxed out on gasoline or fuel pump runs out of steam even with the boost a pump?
Because ultimately you are pushing the OEM fuel components way, way past what they were designed to do. Gen 3 cars do have a higher ceiling than gen 2 cars because of DI, but still, if you can justify feeding it race gas, it's not much of a stretch to be able to justify a return style system. It's a lot cheaper than having to buy a new engine because you leaned it out.

Thanks for the info gentlemen! Yes I haven’t researched factory injector size or anything so that makes since! Thought I heard with the port and direct injectors it would take you a long way but apparently I was miss informed..

Lund was comfortable tuning me out to 700 on 93 with a set of 1050 injectors and the BAP that came with the Paxton kit. They are one of the premium tuners for the coyote. If that tells you anything.

that’s what I was thinking also BAP and 1050x at the minimum

That's pretty close to the upper limits, I've seen guys get to "800" with a JMS unit but most companies don't recommend that their pumps be used on 22 volts.
Obviously Turbo VS Supercharger, and the differences in dynos and all of that. But that's a great number as well. Hoping to get in that range too only my stock block after fuel upgrades.

I can hook you up with a boost a pump and some 1050x injectors for your car here at @LethalPerformance! Shoot me a message if you have any questions or would like to place an order! #Teamlethal

With the 72lb injectors that came with my whipple kit I ran the 3.6 pulley on 94 pump for a year making 740whp. Car never knocked and I roll race it alot to 8000rpm every shift. No BAP and stock pump. Car did a 136MPH trap speed like that.

Nice- how much boost are you seeing with that combo?
