I decided to do some shopping for the best prices on factory oil & filter for our cars, and share what I found with you guys & gals. I am a Motorcraft guy, so this is what I have listed. Sorry, I have no information on other brands.

I hit all the usuals, like Azon, Fleebay, AM, and so on, but the best price I could find was from Rockauto.com. I have never purchased from them, but I know many other guys on this forum have, and I have heard their reputation is good. Below are the specifications for the oil & filter, and I have included the oil change procedure as well.

Oil: 12 quarts needed

Motorcraft 5w50 Full Synthetic, part number: XO-5W50-QGT

Filter: 1 needed

Motorcraft, part number: FL2087

Here is a snapshot of the prices from Rockauto.com, as of todays date (3/5/20).

Here are the factory instructions.

Can’t believe this sonuvabitch takes 12 quarts. Lol. What mileage are you all doing your first change? I’m thinking like 2000 for mine.

I know, right! The recommended engine break-in first oil change is 500 miles. There after it will be 3,000 for me.

Great post and thanks for the pdf upload.

I've only driven the car once but after 1,000 miles I figured the car could use an oil change. My man Bryan took care of me.

I see you are stocked up on filters, and what I believe are drain plugs

I also have a parts guru, he hooked me up with the PDF. Unfortunately for me his dealership is in Florida, and shipping to where I live in Taxachusetts is cost prohibitive for me to buy from him.

I only have 200 miles on mine, but I plan to hit 500 real soon, so I wanted a change on deck.

Filters, yup. In the bag are the push pins that were missing from my battery cover. I do have a handful of GT350 oil pan plugs that will never be used on the GT500 though.:)

My parts guy is in Massachusetts, lol. Let me know next time you need something and I'll put you in touch with him. He's been there with support every time I've had a question - which is a lot!

When I had my '16 CS I went to my dealer and they charged me $91.xx, that was cheaper then anywhere or if i did it myself, hoping I'll have the same luck once mine shows up sometime this spring.

Well dam, this would have been helpful about 1 hour ago lol. Oh well, there's always next time, and now everyone else can use it. Thanks Earl!

Thats a good price, but I bet it was synthetic blend, not full synthetic (unless requested by you), and also not 12 quarts. I am curious to see what others are paying for prices though.

Actually it was Full Synthetic 8Qts. Yes now it will be 4Qts more, so I'll see when that times comes, I normally do a 1000 mile oil change by habit, but it seems with the GT500 its @500, so we shall see.
