Ah, those bat-shit crazy Californians... An activist group in San Diego wants to ban the sale of cars priced over $50k:

This would seem to affect Shelby GT350's and GT500's, and even a nicely optioned Mustang GT. Obviously theres the loophole of buying outside of San Diego and bringing it in, but with a 2.5% penalty.
I'm totally behind sane, rational efforts to fight global warming and save our planet. After all, it's the only planet we have, so it would be a really good idea to not kill the planet, and ourselves in the process. But this isn't going to do it, and is just ridiculous.
I don't live in California, and have no idea if this actually has any chance of passing. In much of the country, it would seem to not stand much of a chance. If nothing else, it's funny.
