Too bad the factory just doesn't put the "window sticker" in the glove box and avoid all the rips and tears.

Chuck: If you download the PDF file for the window sticker, you can have it printed online at plenty of different sites and, in many sizes if you want a copy for posterity or to frame.

It will be a perfect copy and much better than the actual WS itself.

Love the fuel economy section. So the moment the first asshat in this forum asks about how to get the best fuel economy, we can say BRUH. FOURTEEN MPG COMBINED AND YOU'RE WORRIED ABOUT FUEL ECONOMY.

I like to disassemble things.
And 14mpg is almost exactly what I saw on my 1,000 mile drive home from the dealer I purchased my GT500 from. To be fair, I had the cruise set to ~79mph until I got to the police state of NY, where I went down to 59mph and fought hard to not fall asleep.

Regarding fuel economy, it was well in Fordā€™s control to have the predator make much better fuel economy.

They dropped the ball though.

1) if the predator was actually based on the gen three coyote architecture as opposed to the now 6 year old gen two platform then;

2) we could have seen 10.5-11:1 compression ratio, less emissions, a more efficient engine, and potentially smaller lighter blower on top, and;

3) could have saved $1000-1300 in gas guzzler tax from the MSRP.

If ford made an Ecoboost V8, I think weā€™d have almost zero additional taxes.

But according to sources, packaging and complexity were the issues.

The gas guzzler tax on the 2020 and up GT500 cars are $2,600.
On my car, it was $2,100. They both suck down gas, but that gas guzzler tax is a scam if you ask me.

Fair.

Either way you look at it, Ford could have done something. Itā€™s just a matter of
Financials and timelines. Could they add the additional technology for $1300 their cost/unit? Perhaps.

Could they do it with their already stretched and late timeline? Nah lol.

Can't wait until they take it to the track and lose that incorrectly installed front splitter...:facepalm:

Don't forget,........the more "research and development" the company does, the more that car is going to cost us. lol
I'd say it's pricey enough. :whew: :crazy: :curse:

Some interesting details about the car. I've always loved the look of that cobra emblem.
Any chance you could place this video under the GT 500 Delivery Checklist Forum? Good stuff as trying to get all info on what to expect. Thanks
