Sad fact. Tariffs were only talked about as viable tactics by liberal economists in the 20th century...until Trump came along and decided to try and fool America into believing tariffs are a conservative value. The only thing tariffs do IS TAX US, ALL OF US. And in the 20th century, use of tariffs were one of many reasons that contributed to both world wars. And back to global popularity of Trump for a second...did anyone else see that the only countries Trump is currently liked in above 50% are countries run by authoritarian dictators? Let that sink in... Does that fact sink in? With how thin skinned Trump supporters are (like he is) you'd think that would sink into their skin pretty quickly but no, cognitive dissonance is strong with Trump supporters (sorry if you don't know that phrase cognitive dissonance, maybe you can look it up and learn something today if you don't know what it means).

So I get it - this is a Trump bashing thread. I didn't really see where you refuted any of my points about your original topic, though. Just insulted me and changed the subject. I guess that's one way to discuss an issue.

IMO anyone can see that Trump is only using tariffs as a temporary lever to motivate other countries to remove their existing tariffs on American goods. I completely agree that tariffs aren't good long term. But I wholeheartedly support Trump's methods. Rather than having a child or relative "work" for a Chinese company for millions of dollars and then just allow China to have lopsided tariffs - going after those countries to improve the ability for American companies to sell abroad is a good idea.

No, I'm just bashing you for being ignorant and dishonest. I'll let everyone else who reads what you said earlier, how I schooled you, how you stated you didn't care, despite the fact you came into my thread which means you obviously do...I'll let all those people who can easily follow your skewed logic decide on their own. For me? You've proven yourself ignorant in many ways, both in past threads and in mine today...so go figure. Its been my experience, here and in other places online, the people who talk the most smack (like you) are the one's who know the least. Again...like I said, go figure... I'll say one thing for ya, you don't mind making yourself out to be a fool in public, so at least you have that going for ya I guess. :)

Good insults. And Trump is still your president and he is still doing GREAT.

So are you saying that because of President Trump’s morals and that the rest of the world dislikes the president we should vote for the democrats and their socialist ideologies?

What I stated below is exactly what @1MEAN18 said.
1) He hasn't said anything about voting for Dems. There were plenty of other good Republican candidates who weren't morally repugnant.
2) Why even bring up socialist ideologies when it isn't specific to just one party. Or do you change the definition of socialism to fit your opinions like the other 4-5 ppl here?

In your extremely right-wing conservative mind, socialism means getting something for doing nothing. That describes President Trump's tax cuts, as the nation's largest banks last year saved $21billion. Most of that money went into massive bonuses for bank executives (socialism for the rich.) On the other hand, more than 4000 lower-level bank employees got the harsh reality of capitalism for the poor as they lost their jobs.

The idea of socialism for you conjures up a society in which no one is held accountable, and no one has to work for what they receive. Currently, that is exactly what Trump and the majority of the Republican party are promoting for the rich. I say currently as not all Republicans are this brainlet about socioeconomics.

Around 60% of America's wealth is now inherited. Many of today's rich have never done a days work in their lives. President Trump has cut the estates tax which is one way to tax wealth inheritance and Mitch McConnel wants to repeal it altogether.

The capitalist principle of 'people earn what they're worth in the market and that economic gains go to those who deserve them' is so far from true under Trump. The man literally is your definition of a socialist.

You've never read a book about economics in your life yet you meme all day as if you understand the subject, this is why you are an idiot.

Stop changing the subject, no one is saying any of that shit here. This is exactly how fucking stupid you are. You can't debate so you switch subjects or post memes. I could literally run around circles playing whack-a-mole with your bullshit but it would get us nowhere as you are too fucking dense to actually read or comprehend anything outside of your small brainlet view of the world.

You literally have no clue about economics, immigration, law, anything that would require more than common sense to understand. The fact is President Trump has already said you're wrong but you're too inept to realize it. This isn't even a Republican vs Democrat issue as both sides are equally socialistic.
