So, I literally got off the phone with Paramus ford in New Jersey and spoke to with a guy named ralph inquiring about a price on the heritage.... HE told me someone place an order for this car for 1.5 million...... come on now? Can someone walk me off a ledge here? I obviously laughed it off but seriously? Anyone get numbers on these cars? Are dealers going to sink their teeth into avg. joes who are trying to compete with car collectors? There’s nooooo shot that limited edition can be going for that no shot

I too am interested in this...I just asked the GM about adding the HE package to my order and he is looking into it. I am at a 50/50 split though between this and Grabber Lime...Any one else looking at getting this package? If so, let us know why!

IMHO If anyone is looking or has ordered what could possibly be the last year for this model (gt350) why would you not want this awesome iconic color scheme. But hey that just my .02 Cheers!

Thanks for the great shots of the historical Fords! Being an owner of one of the R model "Base" cars, it would have been another cool factor for this color stripe combo to have been offered at the time.
Rex, agreed that it would have been nice to see the 2015 Shelby GT350/R's and any MY's beyond being offered in Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue OTT stripes but obviously that did not happen until the 2020MY under the HEP option code "97Q" as that option has just been introduced to the general public during the last few days.

Of the 562 GT350/R's built during the 1965 MY approximately ~35% or less of these purchasers opted for the painted Guardsman Blue OTT stripe option from the SA locations at the Venice and/or LAX SA facilities with the remaining GT350/R owners relegating to having their local Ford dealerships applying the painted OTT stripes to their cars or they just kept their GT350/R's with no stripes at all which was standard fare back then.

It would have been nice if Ford had offered the GT350 R "Base" model after May 1st, 2018 but obviously that was not possible with Ford mandating the rear camera as standard equipment on all Ford vehicles as of that date thus the Electronic Package also became mandatory for the R models as of May 1st, 2018.

Recently after importing my 2018 GT350R model into the U.S. I had the opportunity to weigh my Base R and it came in at 3620# with just less than a half tank of fuel which was just about where I thought my car would be and really like the feel of this car with respect to power to weight ratio.

If option code "97Q" had been offered back in 2018 along with the Base R model I would have been all over that combination but even at that I am seriously considering cancelling my 2020 GT500 CFTP car and changing it to a 2020 GT350/R and ordering it with Option Code "97Q" as the 2020 R model with the HEP fits my driving criteria much more than the 2 seat CFTP GT500 car based on a few factors.

Certainly no disrespect to the new 2020 GT500 as it is an incredible Mustang and no question it is the fastest and quickest Mustang of all time but the 2020 GT350/R is just more to my liking but whatever the scenario ends up being I will be happy with the end result.

How were you able to learn that the option code is 97q?

Congratulations that’s great! Do you know if the dealer had to get a special allocation for the heritage package?
