Just took home a 2019 Bullitt this week. Happy with the car/deal but confused by some posts here and VIN decoder info. My has a 5 in position 11 showing expected Flat Rock build. But the sequential unit number (positions 12-17) show 99925.

Everything I see says this should be a sequential for the unit number. Don’t think they built nearly 100k units.

Also strange, CarFax says car was built in April of 2018. Seems a little early.

Any ideas?

Ok, the sticker says April 3, 2018. (20180403 per your picture above).

But I found this on YouTube while I was searching. Video from Detroit media showing first Bullitt coming off assembly line in June as other sources have said.

Still puzzled....

And, just to make it interesting, the dash mounted name plate number is PP022

That’s what I’m thinking based on the build date. I have my dealer looking into it.

So, does anyone have an opinion as to whether this is good or bad. I mean, it makes the car more unique but I hope they figured out how to make Bullitts right in their first 24 tries....

That’s a good find and congrats on the purchase! Did your Dealer include any additional paperwork with the car? Did you know it was a PP Bullitt before buying?

M6G Member @PP0001 is very knowledgeable about the “PP” Mustangs. He might be able to give you some guidance to the exclusivity of the PP Mustangs.

I didn’t realize it until I’d purchased it. Decoded the VIN per above and it made no sense.

I called the sales manage and he was intrigued and is looking into it.
I’ll reach out to PP001- Thanks

Hi, Steve - you have the first documented (that I've seen) PP-numbered 2019 Bullitt sold in the US. Congratulations! In the 2008/09 model line, there were about 20-something of these units across the 2 model years. For those of us who have been into Bullitt Mustangs for awhile, they are considered a little more unique and collectable because of the numbering. We don't know how many there are for the 2019s yet. I have recently seen cars with MP numbers being sold in Europe. I would love to chat with you a little more about your PP-numbered 2019. In fact, I am writing a book about all 3 Bullitt Mustang generations, and I am interested in getting some information about your car. Please feel free to contact me via PM here.

Awesome find!
