Ok, finally got a pic of the modified seat latch.
It is now on top of the carpet with 3/4 inch spacers under it.
Enjoying much tighter and harder hitting bass.
Going to do any mids/highs? I'm currently changing mine up and going with JL Audio C2 Comps up front, removing center and door 3.5's. Going with JL Audio C2 Coax 6.5's in the rear deck with an LC7i and Jl Amp for mids/highs. Plenty of bass with my 12" Sundown and JL1000.
I put a little superglue on all the screws and tightened the shelf speakers up, they was completely loose from vibrations and driving, tossed a drop super glue on each one. Shouldn’t get loose again
I had a rattle I couldn’t place it, it was a speaker that got lose.
so put the seat latches on top of the carpet with the spacers behind it? Any reason why didn’t put both spacer and latch behind the carpet?
Just trying to make sure doing it right when I get the bolts tomorrow
looks awful but tossed some dynamat extreme up there
Yes, 4 spacers and 4 bolts.
The hole in the carpet is only big enough for the latch loop to poke through, so you will have to enlarge the hole to accommodate the new bolts.
the spacers will then go between the body and the plate, holding it solid.
As in, using a hole saw to swiss cheese the plastic? Please post some pictures, I've been thinking about doing this or cutting out a section and replacing with a perforated metal panel or something like that.
