No, the next argument will be that the ZL1 is a 10.9 car followed by, well...you have to have it in launch mode...you can't do that at a stoplight. I can already feel it coming.
The ZL1 with mods that aren't supercharger upgrades, so "basically stock" according to C6. LOL

..but when you're given two runs, what are you going to do? Run 1 you set the RPM too high and spin city. Run 2 you set the RPM too low and bog.
MH: I'm fairly sure the FP folks on the side were "suggesting" launch RPM's so I don't think too many were that different. I did see some excessive spin a few times but my guess was, the driver just hit the throttle too hard.

Anyway, even having a "round number" for launch, as you say, with only two runs, too many other factors could have been in play and therefore, very easy maybe even likely to occur.

You're forgetting the one hit wonder 10.9 for a Camaro is the standard because it was hit, but the 10.6/7/8/9s gt500 by multiple people are ringer cars and drivers

They dictated every aspect. Right lane, no burnout, into the groove the timer points u to, LC at 1300, mash pedal, come back around, same thing in left lane, next driver.

I think the media days had a bit more leeway, but the tracktour was as above

I think the 10.6 is awesome. Heck, this was with the "track pack" installed. It might have went a couple mph more without. Overall, it has represented well.

you obviously understimate their capacity for denial.
Well it looks like the back peddling is in full effect. When Evan Smith's numbers were posted. It was a hero run. Made by a professional driver never to be duplicated again. And the 11.2 motor Week run will be the norm. For all regular buyers going forward. Fast forward two weeks. "Yea we all knew it would run 10.6" with a teenager driving. It's alotta fun reading their posts.

They also don't realize he still had the gurney flap and wicker splitters installed! His mph was slower than Evan's I bet with those removed he would of probably ran a couple tenths faster lol

The BBLF theory lives on . Bigger, better, Longer , Faster. I know not all of that applies to cars

What do you guys think about the dtc having launch control limited to 3200 rpm? Bet if it was a little higher you could definitely improve the time even more!

To blaq. The gurney flap & wicker splitters will somehow be mods. The car is no longer stock. So the run doesn’t count. :giggle:Also the kid that posted the video is shady. So the kids run is suspect. At least hotlap had the good sense to just admit defeat and move on. Me personally, I'm willing to give the ZL1 the non repeatable 10.9! Wonder if they’ll do the same when the 500 runs a 10.4-10.5 at cecil or Atco?

Is this on DOT tires, or the slicks from the dollar store crate?
Pretty sure the Demon comes on NT05R drag radials on all 4 corners from the factory. Only the skinnies come in the crate.

Oh, so apples to apples (similar sneakers) are we thinking Venom really does kill Demons?

Im going with no. The demon really is a 9 second car. Witnessed it with my own eyes. I think the GT500 will be just this side of 10s. On drag radials. Judging by trap speeds. Hope I’m wrong. I don’t see that as a loss. The demon is a drag car. And comes from the factory equipped as such.
