Hi everyone, this is a awesome package that has been extensively track tested with very impressive lap times.Out performing what is currently available today by other Manufactures.

If your S550 Mustang spends more time turning laps than grabbing groceries, Steeda's Track Ride Package is your ticket to victory lane! A race proven kit that is already putting Steeda's own #20 S550 Mustang atop the podium, the Track Ride Package comes with Adjustable Pro-Action Shocks and Struts and Competition Dual Rate Springs. Steeda's Competition springs have the highest rates on the market but still maintain a comfortable and enjoyable ride when put on the street.

Once the aftermarket shocks started coming out for the S550 Mustang, people all across the country ran into issues breaking the factory rear shock mount. Whether it was drag racing or road racing with very stiff shocks, customers were having all sorts of issues. Pair this suspension package with our Steeda Billet Rear Shock Mounts which are much stronger than the factory mounts.

Kit Includes:

  • Steeda Pro-Action Shocks and Struts - Adjustable (555 8157)
  • Steeda S550 Mustang Competition Dual Rate Springs (555 8246)

The factory mount is sacrificial. Because the sheetmetal supporting the mount is paper thin. Has Steeda looked at low-heat welding (braze?) extra steel (say 20 gauge) strips to the factory surface?

Does the #20 car not have your beefy way bar end links or stiffer bars at all?

We have not had any integrity issues with our mount, because our load path is almost on center to the fasteners.
Now if you run coil overs and or move the mount upward from the attachment point you will have a oil canning effect which in time will tear the sheet metal.
The best solution would be to tie in the two upper shock mounts with a brace that connects each other and a re-enforcement plate on the back side.

Yes, the #20 car does have upgraded sway bars and end-links.

TRACK RECAP: It was quite an eventful weekend for the #Steeda #Q500 HPDE #Mustang! We took the car out to PBIR for an HPDE event with a slew of other American, European and even a couple exotic cars.

We're proud to report that the Steeda Q500 HPDE Mustang running #Nitto NT01s was the 3rd fastest out of the 72 cars on track! The only two cars that managed to sneak past us were a Camaro ZL1 and Porsche 911 GT3RS, both on Hoosiers.

It blows us away how well this car performs up against some of the best track cars out there. Stay tuned to our social channels as we continue to test the parts that we push to market for your own Mustang build!

Quote From Shelby Source book:

One side of the suspension features a Dual-Rate, counter-wound rear spring and
matching rear control arm, allowing the left and right sides to be mirror images
of each other — perfecting wheel motion

I have this setup on my 2019 and really like the transformation. The car feels so much better. I also have the adjustable sway bars and end links.

That thing looks sharp, nice stance. Especially with those wheels.

Team Steeda is heading to Sebring International Raceway in the morning to show off our Steeda Dual-Rate Springs and Pro-Action Adjustable Shocks combo. As shown in videos and lap times, this package out performs most super cars and purpose built race cars. Walking the talk! Stay tuned for an update next week on how things went!
