Blue Oval back in stock with these, but they also raised the price up $25, plus the 10% coupon no longer valid.

My oil separator from BlueOval was delivered today. It was shipped in the OEM factory packaging with an opaque white label over the Ford P/N label. I carefully pealed the covering label back . Here it is for those of you with interest.

Any instructions included?
Also: The FP Tech Line got back to me on my question whether this part would fit a Base GT500, or do we have to purchase the new cam covers?
Their response adds to the confusion. Here it is exactly from an email: “No, just R.H. camcover. You can use the separator without the GT500 camcovers, but you lose the self draining feature and you’d have to get some stud bolts.”
So I clarified my question back to them and await a new response.....

Yes a 12 page document . No. SKKR3V-6D600_AA Revision 2.

"No part of this document may be reproduced without prior agreement and written permission of Ford Performance."

Here's the basic overview...
Remove the plastic coil pack cover, cut the red cable ties ( 2 each) on the harness and toss them as they have new ones for you to add back after you re route the coil pack wires to make room for the mounting bracket.
Remove and toss the PCV valve. Remove the coil cover plug and add a tube with jamb nut. ( this is the drain )
The separator box slides onto the mounting bracket that is mounted to 3 cam cover studs. Route the provided hoses from the kit to hook up everything. If you want to clean the wire mesh inside the separator...reverse the process and remove the separator from the car before disassembly for cleaning.

If you decide to change your mind and remove the kit, purchase a NEW PCV valve and reuse old hoses.

The directions offer up hints for direction of hose clamps for avoiding damage to other hoses as well as insuring clearance to reinstall the coil pack cover.

Regards,
George

.....aaaaaannd major fail not letting us see the inside of the separator body.

The GT/GT350 separator that the OP referenced works very well but is pretty small so it has to be emptied regularly. I'm betting the GT500 unit has a larger and more efficient "element" similar to the GT/GT350 unit (it's a weird piece), plus the self-draining bonus.

I assume the cam covers are aluminum versus plastic, and that they are either painted or powdercoated.

I didn't check the cost of the cover but is it possible to modify the cover already on a car?

That thing looks purpose built! Like the others Ford makes.
Bottom looks like it's almost multi-chambered

The plastic cap is to protect the threads and pulls off. ( trash) The Jamb nut and o ring let you keep the tube pointed in the correct direction , while enabling the tightening of the nut to seal the o ring on the cam cover.
