Here are my actual time slips. I was not happy with how I and the car performed. It was very, very difficult to launch. I found that putting LC at 5000 rpm worked best for me. Yes a ton of wheel spin. Wheel hop was atrocious. The sticky track actually accentuates it. 60' was horrendous. Additionally for being there 4 1/2 hours I was only able to do 8 runs on test and tune day. Terrible track management at a usually very good track. Anyhow here are the photos of the time slips. The higher MPH runs were later in the day and the temp was similar.

I found that shifting the car at 7800 rpm produced the best times. No question, with the Steeda tune at least, that it makes HP right to the end.

Get yourself a Steeda or BMR 'Stop the Hop' kit, to help keep the rear end planted.

Yes! Thank You. I had one on my auto '15. Worked good. Somehow I thought the Magneride might help out here. No difference really.

Clearly not. Poorest runs we're shifting in the 7-7200 rpm range. Best times went through the traps in 3rd

Try launching without using launch control. I have found that using launch control just makes the wheel hop a lot more violent. Slipping clutch and taking off at about 3-3500 is normally the sweet spot for me.

This is my 18 manual with Lund E85R tune and catback. If i had the want to run a bias ply I would think i could get that down into mid to low 11's. That pass was also on a track that probably hasn't been prepped or even scraped in years. I also question their equipment as well. MPH on my pass seemed lower that I thought it should be, but I wasn's staring at the speedo as I crossed the line either.

That's exactly what I did with my 11. I'm probably getting old. And I was irritated that I didn't have more runs play around with the launch. I'm back roads my best times were without launch control. But getting 0 to 60 miles an hour down under 5 seconds is a lot of work. I'm in the process now of ordering some anti-hop stuff.

So you actually thought a BULLITT with MT6 was faster than an A10!

This is the truth. There was a guy behind me in a bone stock Charger with the 6.4 Hemi. Not the hellcat. He was turning mid 12s all day in that boat with his winter tires on it.

The only way for things to get better is for the truth to come out. Overall, the Bullitt is truly, more or less, a dog. Ford put that terrible gearing in the car for MPG reasons ONLY. This is a well known fact. And, in the process made the Bullitt a slug out of the hole.

I truly love driving this thing, but my 2005 Mustang GT Auto could beat it at the dragstrip.

My solution is a Whipple and I am hoping that the long gearing will be a blessing in that case.

It's as fast as any other 18+ manual PP1 GT. Anyone that bought a Bullitt expecting more was simply an uneducated buyer.

That said 18+ 6spd will do mid 12's all day with a good tire.

Anyone doing mid 12's in a Challenger with winter tires isn't stock. Or was a 1320(high 11sec car) with an auto.

everyone complains about long gearing these cars are not long geared by any means -- how about an 03-04 cobra 390/390 stock it had 266 first 1.78 -1.30 1.1 with 355s and it went just fine ..
